Hotel contract question
Hey Ladies,So I recently signed my hotel block contract with Fox Hollow. I didn't do much researching on hotel blocks and pricing, etc. since I'm tired of doing so much researching and stressing over having to decide from everything. So afterwards, when I'm telling my mother the price she reminds me that this is a lot of money esp for some of my family members. So now I'm having buyers remorse and I'm wondering if theres anyway I could get out of the contract. Or if anyone has any opinions on what I could do.
I have 10 rooms blocked off at Fox Hollow Inn with 3 on 7/31 and 7 on 8/1 (my wedding night). I only need 7 of these to be booked and I technically have 2 so far since I have one room both days. I'm thinking about possibly getting another room block at the Executive Inn or Best Western of Woodbury, I think both have a shuttle and possibly breakfast. Fox Hollow's has breakfast, no shuttle. I don't know the prices of the other two yet but just from me checking online its $200 cheaper a night

Hotel contract question
We're booked at Hilton Garden Inn. We actually looked at three others but liked the look and price the best.

The rate they gave us is much cheaper then the rate we saw they have when you try to book online but it's based on two people being in the room despite there being a king bed and a pull out sofa.it's $50 for each extra person. Its $209 a night and a shuttle would be $400 extra for a 6 passenger van. They do have a free shuttle Monday through 3pm Friday, so if you're wedding is between those days then you can use that shuttle.

Our wedding is on the weekend, so I think I'd have to double check her again if she really meant m-f. Or maybe I shouldn't mention it at all lol Thanks for the info!

Hotel contract question
I looked at the executive inn and best western in Woodbury and the prices were good but I didn't really think the hotels were nice. We booked a block at the holiday inn plainview. They had a shuttle that did 2 round trips for $200 and then for each additional round trip it was another $50. I think the rooms were $149 a night. It was a nice hotel too.

Re: Hotel contract question
I'm getting married at the Fox Hollow and we blocked off some rooms for our guests. If you do call the hotel to get the block, it is cheaper than the rates online. The blocked off rooms are for 1 king size bed suites, though, and the rate is only supposed to be for 2 people, max. The guests can either pay the extra $50 per person if there is more than 2ppl staying in the room - or upgrade to a 2 bed suite for another $30.Welcome New Vendors
