I spoke to them. They were really nice and completely helpful.

In the end I went with Hilton since they didnt require me to deposit any money for the block. Im getting married at East Wind so I wasn't sure how many people would stay at East WInd or go else where.

I'm booked there, I didn't have to put any money down for a block, but I'm booked in the off season so that might make a difference. Glad to hear you say the place is gorgeous have you been there? I haven't seen it.

I think I might to put a deposit since Im getting married at East Wind and a lot of people choose to just stay there rather than worrying about driving to a hotel. I know that was definetly the case with Holiday Inn.

Glad to hear that you girls liked it.. Yes I went to see it. It is soooo nice and doesn't even compare to the Hilton or Holiday Inn. It's mostly dark wood, mosaic tiled walls, very eclectic looking but also very clean. Outdoors there is a huge double sided outdoor fireplace and couches. It reminds me of the 'mansions' that the bachelor cast stays at! The rooms are also very new and the bathrooms are newly renovated. The rooms have a very 'Earthy' feel. It's nice!

I've called and left messages with them and Holiday Inn but neither have called me back. So I blocked rooms at East Wind and the Hilton. Grr maybe I will call them all back again today.

I used them for our room block and they were really great to deal with. Slight mishap with the brunch we held there the next day because I think they might have overbooked, but it worked out in the end. Also just an FYI - I didn't have to leave a deposit and I got married at EW.

OMG- Just got a call from EW that Hotel Indigo called them to get my phone number to block off hotel rooms. So EW called me to let me know as they can not give out clients phone numbers. WHAT!!!!??? Why in the world would Hotel Indigo think that it was proper to call my venue to let them know that I was looking into blocking rooms with them? Well, they just lost my business.

That's really strange. I'm blocked at ew and the riverhead hilton. But some of FH's family got the same rate at hotel indigo as the hilton block rate using priceline.

The Indigo wasn't open yet when I was at home looking at venues so i blocked with the Holiday Inn, and the Hilton wasn't taking blocks for 2012 at that time. I've heard great things about the Indigo, but how much more expensive is it?

I believe that most outside vendors try to get you info so that they can contact you. I think that if you gave your information and told you venue that it is okay for phone calls/ emails then your venue would have not called you to let you know, hotel indigo would have.
