Hotel Info

Hello ladies, I'm wedding is 9/15/02 at the Swan Club and I wanted to stay at a really nice hotel so that I didn't have to travel far the day of my wedding. Can anyone recommend a hotel? Thanks.

Hotel Info

I am getting married not too far down the road from the Swan Club... I am getting married at the Sans Souci. I looked for quite some time for a reasonable priced hotel in the area, and let me tell you, there's not much. Here's what we ended up doing.... The Roslyn Claremont is a very gorgeous place and I would've booked there, but the rates were like $179 (if I can remember correctly). I don't want my guests spending that much. So we booked the Holiday Inn in Rockville Centre only because it is close to the Church I am getting married in. But for those guests who chose to be closer to the reception place, we called a few hotels on Northern Blvd in Manhasset and Roslyn, and most told me they won't book a block of rooms that far in advance - they told me to call back in February (my wedding is in May). One place I remember that told me that was the Gold Coast Hotel (or was it Motel??). We ended up having to book a hotel that fell right inbetween the Church and Reception hall, and thus we booked a block of rooms at the Wingate Inn on Stewart Ave in Garden City. It is right off the Meadowbrook Pkwy, which is a few minutes off the Northern State or LIE which they can hop onto to go to the Sans Souci. It's not too bad, and the rate was more agreeable - $149. We blocked 10 rooms. I spoke with Jessica and she was really helpful and accomodating.

Hotel Info - Thanks

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about the Claremont Hotel. I just wanted a place for me where I can relax the night before. Thanks again.

Hotel Info

Hi! My fiance and I just got engaged and are considering the Swan Club as a reception site. Could you tell me a little more about it? I was there once many years ago, not for a wedding. Are you getting a good deal? I am very curious about this place b/c when I called the guy was great. We will probably go see it this weekend. Thanks!

Garden City Hotel

We are getting married at the Swan Club also. We plan on staying at the Garden City Hotel for 2 nights. It's about 20 mins. away from the Swan Club. It's half way for us (church, reception) and we don't mind a distance b/c the limo people will be driving us. The Clarmont hotel looks so, so nice in pictures. Are you blocking rooms anywhere? We would do the Wingate but we want a bar for our family to mingle at in between things.

Kris - Swan Club

I chose the Swan Club because 1. beautiful gardens and scenery 2. convenient for ME because I`m having the ceremony and reception there. 3. 6 friends of mine have had gone to weddings there and they have loved the food, the ambiance and service. 4. the place is moderately prices and within our budget, since we are paying for our wedding ourselves. 5. they give you your $$$ worth. You could ask anyone on this website about the Swan Club and you`ll get alot of feedback. Actually a few women on the board are having their wedding there too. POST A MESSAGE UP ASKING EVERYONE FEEDBACK ON THE SWAN CLUB. YOU`LL GET MANY RESPONSES. HOPE THIS HELPS.
