hotel-IS THIS NORMAL??

FH and I went to Four Points yesterday to block rooms...i had no idea that we had to pay for so much stuff...first of all, the shuttle is $450, breakfast starts at $12.95 per person, and goes all the way to $30 pp....our room is $200...i had no idea that you had to pay for all of that stuff...i always thought the shuttle was complimentary..and i really think our room should be comped...we are getting them a ton of business that night! Is this standard or can i find a better deal somewhere else? I am getting married in woodbury..four points is in plainview...TIA

we had the same thing with them but booked anyway. We went with a basic room, no breakfast package and we are doing a shuttle from our limo company for ALOT less.

i would negotiate with them...we didnt have to pay for breakfast for people, if they wanna eat let them pay!! and yes our shuttle was complimentary...and so is our room if more then 10 rooms are booked!

I think that sounds really high, honestly. We are booking at the Hampton Inn Islandia and we don't have a shuttle, but they have breakfast buffet complimentary and we get a free room if 10 rooms are booked. I would think about cutting out the breakfast and shopping around at limo companies for shuttles. Good luck!

Breakfast is included with all of our rooms at no additional charge - fruit, coffee, tea, water & juice all day - after 5pm they have popcorn & brownies for all guests - we do not have a shuttle because they said it is wine season (sept.) and they would have to charge us.

We had to pay for our room (FH used his hotel points from all of his work travel...thankfully), they offered us a complimentary breakfast but it really didn't include much so we rented a private conference room for $100 and are having it catered by Panera Bread...And the shuttle was not included so we did it through our limo company. HTH

We are paying for the HM suite, I have not heard of it being for free. I believe FBIL's that got married last year, paid. We got a great deal though-$179 night for the Jacuzzi, 3 room suite. Breakfast is included, but FBIL's hotel they used last year, we paid for the buffet. None seem to mind to pay for themselves. Eliminate that cost, IMO. We are paying for our shuttle. Some hotels do offer for a fee or comp if it is close, that can vary. We are using Lindseys. They srewed up the price and after an argument, they are going to honor the orig price. For the price, are you sure that you are going to have enough shuttles for all the guests or too much. Price it around. What does it include. We are getting a 14 passenger shuttle x 3 minimun each way, is what we had to guarantee. I am actually putting in the invites a RSVP to see who will want to use the shuttle and to make sure that I am providing enough shuttles. I don't want to end up short. It really is a great idea to have one. IMO, although we are on a very tight budget, it is worth spending the money.

We used the Wingate Inn in Graden City ( now it's La Quinta) and the shuttles were complimentary and they comped our honeymoon suite because we gave them so much business. We had to leave so early we couldn't even do breakfast, but as far as i know people took care of that on their own, so we didn't pay for that.

We used Four Points too. We went with the normal room at the discounted rate because we needed the room for 2 nights and that was ridiculous. DH had a starpoints rewards card so we got a bigger room than the normal size one for the same price.

We will have to pay for our room... debating if we should.
Breakfast wasn't work it - like $10 for muffins and fruit... so we didn't include that.
The problem is that there aren't very many choices!

we are getting the HM suite but they are giving it to us for the same negotiated rate as the guests. Not sure how much it would be normally. I was shocked how much the hotel wanted to keep the bar open. $300 that guests could drink off of AND an additional $200 for the bartendar.
