Hotel Night of Wedding

Are you guys staying at a hotel the night of your wedding? We're not going on our honeymoon the night of our wedding. I was thinking of staying at either The Marriot Marquis in NYC or the Garden City Hotel. Both very expensive but I'm leaning more towards the Marriot Marquis. What do you guys think? what is everyone else doing?

Re: Hotel Night of Wedding

I am probably staying at the holiday inn, where I blocked rooms for my guests.

We are staying at a hotel but I don't know which one yet. It's too far away to think of it right now

We are getting married at the North Ritz Club and staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow. We would have stayed at the Garden City Hotel, but I hear the Inn is really nice!

Re: Hotel Night of Wedding

I would highly reccommend the Marquis. It is absolutely gorgeous there. I woudn't spend my wedding night there just because I stayed in a lovely suite there once...with my ex .... but it's a beautiful place.
As for my wedding night , hopefully by then me and FH will have our own place... so that solves that....... but then again maybe we will, just for the fun of it....somethin' for me to think about i guess.....

Re: Hotel Night of Wedding

Fi's parents are putting us up in the Essex House in Manhattan for our wedding night...because they stayed there on their wedding night 30 years ago. We think it's lucky!!

We thought about staying in the same hotel as our guests, but since we're doing everything in the same place and all at once, we really want the time completely to ourselves!

Re: Hotel Night of Wedding

What kind of room at the Marriott Marquise?
If it's a standard room at either the Marriott or the GC Hotel, I've been in both and the standard rooms at the Garden City Hotel is MUCH nicer.
