hotel reservation for friends wedding- rp from 06

hey girls-
our friends are having a super lavish black tie wedding in ct in august- they blocked rooms at a fancy hotel and got a great rate of $109 per night. BUT I looked online and can get a smaller room for $89 per night- I know it is only $20 but money is money!! am I terribly cheap to get the less expensive one?

heck no!! like you said, $20 is $20!

Is it the same hotel, just a smaller room?

If so, then I say do it, if its a different hotel, then I would stay in the one they blocked.

same hotel- just a double bed instead of queen- fh and i just got a queen bed but had a double before so it should be fine-

A bunch of people reserved rooms outside our block of rooms and that's cool (some nights are cheaper. The only thing that I would let your friends know that you are staying in a different room so if they are giving OOT Bags, they know you are there to get you one.

i will definitely let them know- i might be cheap but i still want my oot bag
