Hotel with shuttle in Smithtown/Commack/Hauppauge vicinty?
Hi everyone,
The Marriott Courtyard on the LIE has no blocks available for our weekend. Anyone have any other suggestions? I know there are a ton around, but I'm looking for ones that people had an experience with (good or bad).
Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge Marriot Residence Hauppauge Any of the hotels on Motor Pkwy (Sheraton/Hyatt)

mariott's far ! sheraton in smithtown was pricy and a bit rundown (rooms). plus you had to pay extra for the shuttle. but they had a bar. holiday inn had a pool and was OK but we chose wyndam winwatch in commack/ brentwood because the rooms were the nicest. we also went to hampton inn commack- but no shuttles so extra $$

yes but only 2 runs, which means 24? people tops. $119 was the rate. the guy was really helpful. the only thing people complained about online was the mulch place next door, which may smell during august... but we went in may or june and couldnt notice it at all so we are thinking we are safe for september! also if you are staying- with 10 rooms you get $100 off the $219 suite, with 20 rooms you get it free! and it's by NIGHTS not rooms so if people stay 2 nights it counts for 2! sheraton's suite rates were by room not by night and it was more expensive. plus it was really just 2 regular rooms connected by a spiral staircase

also you have to book 10 rooms to get the shuttle. but if not it's only $100 round trip

Im blocked at the hyatt regency in hauppauge. So far no problems, they were the best hotel to deal with and i visited all the hotels around the area.

Do you mind sharing info on the Hyatt I am in need of a hotel block but I only need sbot 4 to 5 rooms for oot, do they have shuttle?

Im getting married at Flowerfield in St. James and they recommended Marriott and Sheraton in Hauppauge...but I personally have no idea what the rooms look like or pricing...I'm assuming because its THE MARRIOTT it's going to be pricey.
I'm actually wondering the same thing....are there hotels in the Hauppauge/Smithtown area that are affordable yet clean and NOT run down?

We booked with the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge. They include a shuttle with a 10 room block on the night of the wedding. So far they have been really nice to work with.

Thanks everyone! I'm still calling around, but I tried the Hyatt and while the woman I spoke to was super helpful, we would be responsible for paying for unbooked rooms (no thanks!). Still calling around, waiting to hear back from the Wingate and Holiday Inn Express. I'll keep you updated!

Definitely check out the Marriott in Hauppauge. It was beautiful and they gave us the best per-room price out of every hotel we visited. They do ask that 80% of your rooms be booked if you block off 20 or more rooms (so there is a financial responsibility for the difference between the number of rooms actually booked and what 80% of your block is), but if you know the number of rooms you need this shouldn't be a problem. I believe they have a recommended limo service that you can use to arrange a shuttle, but I haven't gone down that route since we will probably make other arrangements.
The Hyatt was a beautiful hotel but it seemed a bit to business-y for me. Rate was also higher than the Marriott for us.
Didn't look at the Holiday Inn because we are thinking about doing a breakfast gathering the next day and they don't have anything other than a standard continental breakfast.
The Sheraton... all I can say is that was a waste of time. Hotel appeared to be a step about a motel and their rate was ridiculous. Don't bother.
