check out hotelplanner.com you can do a search of hotels close by and then you can have hotels bid on your business. HTH

Try the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma, thats a little East of Oakdale but much further South then the ones on the Expressway. There are tons of hotels in Islandia/Hauppauge. Those would be your best bets. Up there you have The Sheraton, Marriot, Marriot Courtyard, Hampton Inn, Hyatt. I think there are others too.

There's two but they really aren't that close, at least a 15 minute drive! I'm a little disappointed about that, but what can I do. My hopes of them building something within the two years we booked the hall just didn't happen! We don't know if we are going to block rooms or just give guests the info since a lot of our OOT guest are staying closer to the church since thats closer to my parents house.
