Hotels for wedding night
We are not leaving for our honeymoon right away and want to stay somewhere after our wedding. The Garden City Hotel wants a fortune for what will probably be 6 hours. Does anyone else have a recommendation of where to stay. We are getting married in Nassau county. Thanks

Re: Hotels for wedding night
We were going GC Hotel but rationalized the same thing! We booked something at the Marriott in Uniondale. They have a honeymoon thing for two hundred and something - you get extended check out, room service breakfast (i think), bride and groom tee- shirts.

We're thinking of the Wingate in Garden City...I think it's around $200 or so. We are going to be doing that really soon...

we are staying at the Wingate Inn on Stewart Ave. in Garden City. It's not far from B'nai Sholom at all.

Re: Hotels for wedding night
We're staying at the Roslyn Clairmont Hotel in Roslyn. We had visitied it 1 yr ago when making our plans, and thought it was beautiful. We got the honeymoon suite (king bed, fireplace, HUGE bath, seperate sitting room, breakfast- room service or at their resturant- champaigne, flowers, and fruit basket upon arrival) all for $375 a night. Could't beat that since the GCH was much more. We can't wait!

Re: Hotels for wedding night
Try the Harrison House in Glen Cove. We stayed there in a honeymoon suite ($350) but the regular rooms were just as nice. They go for around $165 without a block of rooms discount.

Re: Hotels for wedding night
Not for nothing, but unless you are wanting a fancy suite ALL hotel rooms pretty much look the same. The holiday Inn in Carle Place is 150 a night and the rooms are pretty much as nice as the rooms in the garden city hotel..
A Clean hotel with a nice big bed works for me!

Re: Hotels for wedding night
We looked at GC & Roslyn Claremont(love them both but couldn't deal with spending that much)We got an apartment suite @ the Marriot Residence Inn in Plainview-it's worth checking out.My OOT guest rooms are blocked @ the Holiday Inn in Plainview, it is clean & updated.
I got a packet in the mail from Wingate(after I was already booked) & it looks really nice! I agree with the clean big bed part!

Re: Hotels for wedding night
I stayed at the Garden City Hotel (regualr room, not a suite), and while it was nice, it was nothing really that special. If you can get a suite somewhere else for a better price, go for it. You aren't really missing anything

We're staying at the Inn and Fox Hollow in a king suite. We also considered the Huntington Hilton and the Melville Marriott.

Re: Hotels for wedding night
FH and I are staying at the Radisson in Medford the night of the wedding. He got a really good deal through Priceline.com so the room is only costing us like $50 something for the night!!
