Hotels for wedding night

We are not leaving for our honeymoon right away and want to stay somewhere after our wedding. The Garden City Hotel wants a fortune for what will probably be 6 hours. Does anyone else have a recommendation of where to stay. We are getting married in Nassau county. Thanks

I made a reservation at the GCH, but last night I cancelled it and booked the Wingate in GC. I can't justify the cost of the GCH.

Wingate Inn

Can anyone give me the number to the Wingate Inn? My FH checked out the Garden City hotel and they want a fortune and they don't have a working fireplace!!

My FH just finished saying to me...how do you know all this information so fast when I've been searching for it for days...I just said to him 'I have my ways.' Meanwhile I would be CLUELESS without you girls!
