I stayed in the Libertel Lafayette, on business. It is not fancy but adequate and in a good location. Price is right, if you are looking for something affordable. DH met me there for the weekend and it was great.
FM me if you want info. I liked it better than any other places I have stayed in Paris on business.

Re: Hotels in Paris, France
We have been to Paris 3x and have stayed at Hotel Leveque It is a small hotel in the 7th. It is on a pedestrian street with cheese vendors, wine shops and cafes. I love it. The rooms are small, which is very common in Europe. There is a great cafe up the street called Cafe Du Marche. I love that place. It is close to the Eiffel tower and the metro, which is very easy to use. I love Paris and have a bunch of restaurants if you are interested. I am sooo jealous I wish we could squeeze in one more trip to Paris before we move back to the States.
ETA - With the price of the Euro (1.32) this hotel is a bargain. You shouldn't pay more than 90Euro a night. I think I paid 86Euro last Feb when I went with my mom.

For our HM we stayed at the Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg. Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews of it and most other Paris hotels. I highly recommend it.
It's a 3 star but I think in Paris even the 2 stars are ok.
