How are these Photographers?

I have compiled a list of photographers to check out. I am looking for someone who does a nice mix of color and black and white. I am also looking for a more photojournalistic look (nothing too posed). Let me know what you guys think of these photographers...any feedback would be great before I start meeting with them. Verdi, Visual Concepts, Paul Marino, Michael Rosengard, Patken, Something in blue... Thanks ladies. :)

How are these Photographers?

The only photographer on your list whose work I've seen is Patken. You should check them out. They are good. I have a friend who recently used Creative Compositions. Her proofs were amazing. They might be a little high-priced though...but worth it. Whatever you do, don't even consider using B rett M atthews. I did. What a mistake!

i know you already have your list, but you may want to try susan francy, she did my friends wedding and it was a mix of exactly what you're describing and she's fairly affordable. www.susanfrancyphotographs.com good luck! I read your post again. I did go to see Patken, but when I got there they said they were booked. I also saw Visual Concepts.

I looked at Visual Concepts, Verdi, and Patken. I really liked VC and Verdi, but didn't book them for various reasons. I was not as impressed with Patken.

I was very impressed with Verdi

but I did not book them for expense reasons. Instead I booked VIP. Have you looked into Mark Kaufman? He gets a lot of good reviews from this site.

We used him - and he was worth every single penny. Great to spend the day with also.

He's very flexible...

We're spending $2,800. He definitely has different packages, and he'll work with you. You definitely should see his work, he's so talented. What's also great, is that he's by himself. It's his own studio. So, you know you're getting him. My fiance really liked him. He has a great personality. We're getting a nice package, he throws some extras in too! Definitely check him out! Have you seen his webpage?

My fiance & I really liked Verdi, but it was too exepensive. The prices started at $3200 -- and all that included was the photographers (2), the proofs & 1 album. Good luck!

I don't know about the ones you spoke of but, I went to a bridal show recently and for the first time saw a sample book of what looked like 'photojournalistic' type photo`s taken at a wedding (I`d never heard of such a thing before) and totally and completely fell in love with the style, its amazing. The company was Angelica Studios (some place in suffolk) I believe Mark Kaufman own`s it or manages it. You might want to check it out and go look at that sample book I saw, they were truly the most amazing pic`s I`ve ever seen of a wedding. The couple in the book looked like a Philippino bride and an Irish groom. Hope this helps.
