Did you do a big board, spreadsheet, what? I don' t know how to organize this. Past brides, what worked best for you?

i got the caterer to draw me the room set-up w/ how they number the tables. then i drew half the room on large posterboard with circles w/ the corresponding table numbers on them, for each set of parents and put all the guests by couple or single on post-its, color coded by family.
that way it's easier to move people around using the post-its.

i went through my guest list and started placing people at tables that i designated in a notebook. i am eventually going to transfer everything over to excel but this worked for now just until we need to start rearranging due to people not coming

I did the post it thing too. I used different colors for my family, his family, my friends and so on. It was easier to move them around that way.
After it was final I transferred it to a word diagram I set up and emailed it to the caterer.

we used a big poster board - i laid out the tabels arounfd the room with max size and used smalll post its for people - very easy to adjust who was near each other and see it visually
