I don't know - I'm VERY worried about my Dad's drinking getting out of control at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding

I'm not sure I'm even going to notice....Won't we be too busy being brides????? Or am I being naive??

I was fortunate not to have a problem with drunk people making arse's out of themselves. HOWEVER, rather than deal with that possibility myself, I told my BM that I gave him the right to have poorly behaved guests removed from the premises. If it happened, I didn't want to know about it.

good idea, although I don't know if any of my bm's will be sober enough to make that kind of decision about anyone else

Unfortunately, I have a couple of family members that have a problem that I am going to worry about.. I already warned them so I am praying they will behave!

I'm going to ask them to pass me a glass of the good time juice too.

My FH has several very intimidating, large uncles. Strong man competition types. I'm counting on them to take care of any problems.

That is what I am thinking. If they are drunk, then they are having a good time. If they are stupid, then they are going to be gone!

Well we have cops on both sides (some pretty big guys I might add) of the family....so maybe anyone who gets out of hand or pulls any other crap will be escorted out by one of them!

I think that 'BM' stood for 'banquet manager' in this case, maybe?

I hope he/she is sober?

I think that is what she meant.
Plus, I'm sure most of my bridal party will be plenty tipsy themselves!

1 word - DENIAL

I won't think about it or worry about it. My wedding party / family / friends will help me take care of it.

I found out, after the honeymoon, who was drunk. I was so busy smiling and making sure I talked to everyone that I missed any dance floor antics. But once we started hearing stories and developing the table cameras, OY!

Re: How are you going to handle drunk guests

I'm going to either let my Maitre'D handle it, or I will let everyone know that unless they want to deal with my family full of cops, they better not act stupid!!

Don't get me wrong, I want everyone to drink and have a good time, I just don't want anything that would be embarrassing to anyone happen!!!
