How are you involving your FMIL in the planning?

Original post by MissingTheBGene

I want to make a special emphasis on including my FMIL in the planning, FH is her only son and I wanted to make sure that she was involved just as my FSILs and my side of the family. I feel like I need to involve my mom as well, but since she's around me all the time, and kind of 'sees and hears' more about the wedding, I feel like I need to really focus on involving my FMIL.

Right now, we just booked our vendors (on our own, really, without discussing much of it with either side of the family), so I was just curious at what point did you involve her or if there were specific things you asked for her input on?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I also involved her in everything. She loves it. I also involved my FH aunts too. My FH is the first grandson and the first boy in the family. They all voice their opinions but ley us decide.

She lives in Florida but I didnt involve her in the planning at all. I did tell her what DH and I planned though. Shes so absentminded anyway that she would ask the same thing several times when I already answered so I was kinda lucky.

My FMIL came with FSIL, my mom, and my sis to see my dress when I bought it. I brought them to the to final picks for catering halls. Other than that, I pretty much tell her what's going on after the fact. His family is in Brooklyn, so it's difficult to get them out during the week.
