I was thinking about this recently and with saving for a house, saving for a few things I have to pay for at the wedding, and all my bills, I don't know how I am going to pay for the honeymoon!! What are you all doing?

We just bought a house, for us the house was the most important thing, so we decided to scale down on the wedding/HM.
Our HM is a combination of a gift from my parents (they are giving us their timeshare for a week) and using our Disney Dollars to get a weeks worth of hopper passes for the two of us. We are paying for the airfare, rental car and entertainment/food.
Neither one of us likes to buy things that we don't have the money for, the CC gets paid off at the end of every month, so if we don't have the $ for something we save until we can afford it. Between the mortgage and students loans we have enough debt already, I don't think I'd be able to sleep at night if we started adding more!

FH & I have a timeshare together through the Starwood Preferred Guest rewards program. We exchanged our week for points. We also got the SPG AMEX card and we have been using it for everything to get extra points. We use that card & then pay it in full as soon as we can. We earned enough points to stay at a Sheraton resort in Puerto Rico for 7 nights. So all we have to pay for is the airfare. We also set up a honeymoon registry for the resort & we got a couple of certificates to use at the hotel restaurants for food or we can use them for activities like snorkling or jet skiing.

We're paying for our whole wedding by ourselves - cash - so we're charging the honeymoon and then using wedding gifts to pay for it.

hands down we are charging it to our AMEX so that we can get SKY MILES OUT OF IT., WHICH IS ALOT OF MILES....!
anYONE WITH POINTS/ MILES PROGRAM DEFINATLEY DO THIS! JUST PAY IT RIGHT OFF LOL

you can always make payments along the way and treat it as though it is a bill this way there is no large payment at the end..JMO

We're paying cash for ours. We're actually paying cash for the whole wedding. We're good savers, so we've been saving for it.
I can't say we're still saving for it, though - b/c it's this weekend!
Same here....Cash for everything!! I hate charge cards!

We paid for it on our AMEX to earn points but have since paid that off. And our AMEX points actually paid for our flight!

After pricing our HM to Italy it had to rethink how we are going to pay since we didnt put that into the budget. So we are going to save save save and hope we get some good gifts $$$$$

well now with FH unemployed due to the american home mortgage layoff... probably going to land up charging (which we did not want to do and have not done much of up until this point...) but right now the funds will not be there and unemployment is not enough to pay our mortgage and bills + wedding $$$ - and he has not had much luck with finding jobs in NY...
