I was thinking about this recently and with saving for a house, saving for a few things I have to pay for at the wedding, and all my bills, I don't know how I am going to pay for the honeymoon!! What are you all doing?

Cash. we moved our date because flying out presidents day/week is obscenely expensive.
We moved it to march and its only costing us 2600 for 6 days 5 nights with flights to montego bay sandals...

We're charging it for the insurance.....and so that we have cash to pay the reception hall.
We'll pay it back with gift $ when we get back.

FH has some time of timeshare thing (doesn't go by weeks, but points) so we will use the points to cover our lodging. We're going to pay for our flights in cash. We'll figure out spending money as we get closer.

we paid cash for our honeymoon and got the tickets from dh cousin...(cousin works at delta)

My sister and a life long friend (who is in my BP) gave FH & I four nights in Washington DC and we are going to pay for two nights in Philadelphia on the way back from DC.

CHARGING IT!!! Maybe not the smartest thing but we are penny pinching now at 38 days away. FH says this will be our only honeymoon and if we have to pay it off after the wedding here and there that's what we'll do.

its becoming probable that fh's cousin (best man) is going to pay for at least half of our honeymoon!!

The wedding wiped us out big-time so I didn't want to drop another huge chunk of cash right afterward. We're going on smaller (less expensive but just as fun) trips throughout this month, then going on a 'real' honeymoon somewhere down the line (maybe next summer for our one-year anniversary) after we can save up a bit more again.

We are paying for the wedding ourselves so we couldn't afford Tahiti.. but we will go next year for our Anniversary. I paid $4400 cash.. to go to Le Blanc in Cancun..
