I was thinking about this recently and with saving for a house, saving for a few things I have to pay for at the wedding, and all my bills, I don't know how I am going to pay for the honeymoon!! What are you all doing?

its a gift to me from FH he knew how upset i was that we wouldnt be able to afford to really go away. He got a severence pay from his last job ( it went out of business) so he told me thats his gift to me! yay!

We are spending way too much on our HM to Tahiti. We paid the deposit with money from our savings, the major chunk of it will be paid for with gift $ and in the meantime, we are still saving.

Exchanging a week of my parents timeshare... Hopefully, we can get something good ... And we're also going to Disney for a few days before the real HM

We're paying cash for ours. We're actually paying cash for the whole wedding. We're good savers, so we've been saving for it.
I can't say we're still saving for it, though - b/c it's this weekend!

We usually go on vacation once a year so in 2008 that vacation will be our HM and we will use the money we have saved for vacation. We will probably use some money from wedding presents to do special things that are normally not in our budget.

FH’s family has said they will pay for it as a gift to us…now, I love them to death and they’re not flakes at all, but depending fully on someone else to bankroll this makes me nervous, so I’m also doing a honeymoon registry, lol.

I opened an ING Direct Bank account to save for it. We probably wont have enough by the time the wedding comes so we have to postpone it til the summertime probably. It stinks but what can we do!!

Most likely we will have to charge flight and hotel, but will have spending cash for food, excusions, etc. We are paying for everything else for the wedding with the $$ we are saving, but this is the one thing we may not have as the wedding is costing more than we thought. It would be nice if we could have the cash, but we'll see.

cash - just like the rest of the wedding!!
but we may actually put it on a credit card and then pay it off the day we get back so everything is covered by the extra travel insurance on most cc's

I think I am going to be charging some and paying for some with wedding gifts. We didn't have an engagement party, so my mom actually told me she's going to give me what she spent on my sister's for our honeymoon ... it's not much since my sister and BIL paid for most of that, but it's something!
On another note, ING accts are great. I've had one for 2 years for 'the New Hampshire Fund' which is where we are moving after we get married, and I just opened one today for 'the wedding fund'!
