Are you taking out a loan, using credit cards, saving and paying as you go, are your family members helping you?

Moms paying for my complete attire, other wise FH and I are paying as we go. Thats why we have alittle over a 2 year engagment so we could save up so we dont have to charge anything.

Did a budget on excell as a spreadsheet. Broke down all the vendors price minus the deposits found a balanace then divded it by the months left to the wedding and that was our goal to save every month.
The only assistance is my mother and father are paying for my wedding dress (the cap was 1k and i met that cap) and the bridla shower. Other then that it is FH and I paying all the way.

we are saving and paying as we go...(even though BOTH of FH parents are doctors!!! ) But whatever! I would rather handle it myself anyway that way later on down the line fil's dont throw anything back in my face...ya know?

We started saving a little before we got engaged and are still saving. We're paying for everything ourselves. We're fortunate to have good salaries where we didn't have to alter our way of life too much (plus we have children.) Our tax refund was also a big help. The only CC we used was American Express which has to be paid in full the next month anyways. We did that mostly for the points which paid for our flight for our HM.

We are saving. We saved before we got engaged and that is what we continue to do. We both need to get 2nd jobs for a little bit b/c we are going to be short a few $$, but we want to make sure we have the money and not charge it or take out a loan.

FH and I are paying for ours, except for my dress. We've been really good at saving. The only thing we are charging is the honeymoon, and hopefully nothing else!

Tax refund!!! I forgot about that! Each year I get back around $1200!!!! That will SOOOO come in handy ... as long as I do not rack up the credit card bills again! (That is what I always use my tax return for, or to help pay off a loan... car or school, etc)

FH and I are saving and paying as we go all by ourselves...His parents gave us a little help (as much as they could seeing as how they live in Poland), and my uncle is paying for our limos ($1500). It isnt easy, but we want to have a great day.

saving money from our paychecks basically.
Our parents said they will help but so far we've done most of it alone, some help though. As far as what else they will contribute i have no idea, so im just going with the mentality that im paying for all of it.

We are saving up & paying as we go. We put exactly $50 on CCs thus far, and it doesn't look like we'll need to do anymore than that. The rest we should be able to pay in cash

My parents are paying for the hall, flowers and my dress. FH's parents are paying for the ceremony, RD, band, and part of the photog. They both gave us set dollar amounts, and that's just how we chose to apportion it. FH and I are paying for his attire, my accessories, limos, favors, attendant gifts and all the other little things like cake knives, toasting flutes, slipper basket, etc. We want to add the Viennese Hour - either FH and I will do it or my parents will, we're still working that out. FH's parents are giving us their timeshare for one week for the honeymoon, we are paying our airfare and we want a 2nd week, which we will also probably pay for but may get help from my parents.

We opened up a high interest yielding savings account which has helped us a lot. We are paying for everything ourselves, and will pay for everything as we go. We refuse to begin our marraige in debt, and if that means we have to forgo some extras, we will.

Cash...no credit cards! I hate credit cards! FH is paying for everything and we just pay cash which is great cause tons of vendors are willing to scratch the tax that way!

We put a few grand every month into our emigrant account to help save for the wedding and house. We are paying everything ourselves with a bit of help from our parents but everything is done with cash because I refuse to go into debt from this!

We were going to see if we could take out a loan to help, but we're steering away from that idea now. We were actually considering putting it off another year so we wouldn't have to penny pinch..it has me very depressed and neither of us want to do that..but we're still up in the air!

saving and paying as we go too. No help, no loans, no credit.....its tough but helps us to appreciate the value of our hard work. Before we were never able to save but now it's like 'Where did all this money come from?'
