saving and paying as we go too. No help, no loans, no credit.....its tough but helps us to appreciate the value of our hard work. Before we were never able to save but now it's like 'Where did all this money come from?'![]()

My parents paid for the reception, e-party, invitations, and my dress and everythiing that went along with that. DHs parents gave us $10,000 that we used for photo/video, the band and the rehearsal dinner. We paid for flowers, favors, limos and gifts. Oh yeah, and my parents gave us airmiles for our HM and we used their timeshare, so we just had to cover our spending money.

We are paying for most of it on our own. We saved prior to getting engaged, so that helped a lot. My Dad has also given us $$$ to use towards whatever we may want.
Loan would be a VERY bad idea...you don't want to start with your marriage in debt. We're fortunate to have a very supportive parent and enough savings...thats how we paying for our wedding.
We're been saving as we go, We put away 2000 a month since November! I cant wait till this day finally comes!
paying everything so far with checks. when the money is in the account we send a check. NO CREDIT CARDS!!! lol
Me and my FH are paying for the whole wedding straight cash. Paying as we go. And might i add we are already spending around 40K. We didn't even sit down with all the people yet. (flowers, dj, etc.) My mom is buying my dress for me so that's one thing that i don't have to buy.

My Dad is paying the whole thing. We only got engaged in January and I just had a baby so I wasn't working so there is no way we can pay for it ourselves. We're paying for the small things... wedding bands, gifts, rehearsal dinner, etc... but my awesome dad is handling the rest.
We are saving every month and my parents are hopefully going to be able to give us some $ to put into a CD, and we will use that closer to the big day since it is going to be a big amount. We will have the photo,dj.limos, favors, and flowers paid off by next summer. Parents are buying my dress.

We saved up and paid cash for everything. The hall cost the most of course but luckily that was paid off little by little over the months. Same with the other vendors, they required deposits but most we didn't have to pay off completely until the last few months. That helped a lot. If we had to pay for everything all at once that would have been much harder.

Did a budget on excell as a spreadsheet. Broke down all the vendors price minus the deposits found a balanace then divded it by the months left to the wedding and that was our goal to save every month.
The only assistance is my mother and father are paying for my wedding dress (the cap was 1k and i met that cap) and the bridla shower. Other then that it is FH and I paying all the way.
We are saving and paying as we go, tax money...anything we can get our hands on. I'm even working through my vacations to save, thinking of getting a part time job as well. We may start a wedding credit card but, I also want to put money into a cd, that'll help will help us with all the final payments.
I am very lucky in that my parents are paying for most of our wedding. For everything else we are paying as we go. We are both trying to get lots of overtime!
