Hey girls! I was just paying some bills right now and I just realized that my paycheck from last week is almost gone!
I was just wondering what little things you all are doing to save money for the wedding?
All I'm really focusing on right now is getting rid of my credit card debt and getting my nails done less and less.

Everyone always says how it's easy to save money by bringing lunch to work or stop going to Starbucks every day... but I already do that!
I've just been trying to stop unnecessary shopping.. a lot of times I buy things just bc it's cute or on sale so I've been trying to stop that.
It s*cks.

We're not going out at all. And we're trying not to buy lunch as much.
When I switch jobs we'll be saving a lot of money too because I won't be driving into the city every day and spending money on parking, gas, etc. Plus I'll be getting a lot extra in my paycheck.

I have direct deposit, so I move money into our 'wedding fund' first and then figure out how much i have left to split up between bills.....i also keep a change bucket....i have a 5 gallon poland spring bottle and i dump all my change in it, i dont use change to pay for things so that it forces me to break a new bill and get coin change to put in there.....start now and come the wedding you'll have enough to use as tip money, or honeymoon cash, or something else that isnt 1000's of dollars.

I brown bag my lunch as much as i can and cook a lot instead of eating out all the time. I've also cut down on the shopping.

I don't go on shopping sprees anymore for unecessecary things......i havent bought a bag or shoes in so long....and we cut back on going out to dinner. His paychecks pay all the bills my paychecks go right into the wedding account.

Honestly, the best way for me to save for the wedding though is to get rid of it as soon as I have it. So if I save up $1,000, I'll pay off a deposit at the RH or something!

i have direct deposit and some money goes into the 'wedding account' also we put all of our change into the 5 gallon poland spring bottle. we've been shopping at BJ's and i get the coupon book, last week we saved $18 in coupons lol yay. also i try to cook at least 5 times a week and get coffee from home or work (free) instead of DD i feel like thats not a lot but i know it helps

Fh and I go out a lot less then we used to. I try and put about $50-75 from each pay check into savings ( I know it doesn't sound like a lot but I make next to nothing as a student). Once FH is finished paying off my ring he will be putting money in monthly as well (a lot more then I can). We also save all our change in a huge coke bottle piggy bank and that will be the money for our honeymoon.

Ditto for us! Although we just went out for Sushi last night oops! Oh well that was our only outing this week!

FH and I have a joint account that's for the wedding/house/future. We contribute a set amount of our paychecks to it. We also cut back on going out to eat and just making sure that we're spending our money smartly.

I set up a budget for myself for everything incl. rent, bills, gas, etc. and I included $$ to be put aside every month for the wedding in that budget. I treat it like a bill. FH and I also set up a joint savings account, and any extra money we have at the end of the month goes in there.
Plus, I rarely shop anymore, as depressing as that is. I bring my own lunch to work, and try to cut back whenever I can.

My paychecks fly out the window...but my secret way to save is, i take 50-100 out of each paycheck and throw it in the saving when it hits 3000 I send it to my credit union account. I also have 2 Jars that I put our change in....
