Hey girls! I was just paying some bills right now and I just realized that my paycheck from last week is almost gone!
I was just wondering what little things you all are doing to save money for the wedding?
All I'm really focusing on right now is getting rid of my credit card debt and getting my nails done less and less.

FH & i have a seperate account that we set up right afterthe Eparty for all wedding related stuff. We feed that account when things are due from my acct or FH's. Basically we have just decided to bring lunches more & Im not shopping as much either. But overall thankfully we havent had to alter to much of our lifestyle.

I'm incapable of saving (if its there, I'd use it) - so the 2 times a month I get paid - I send a check to a vendor!
I'm saving money by getting rid of my truck, and driving a Carolla.

We don't have credit cards...I feel like that helps us alot with what to buy and not buy :)

When going food shopping try looking on
coupons. c om or the couponmom . com
These sites really help and only use the coupon when the item is already on sale so you get double savings!!!

We put away $1,300 a month into fidelity mm account and have a CD due to mature Feb 09’. We live off what’s left. *double*sigh*

I'm having a hard time, but FH i s having an even harder time saving. I bring my lunch to work, although today I bought breakfast and lunch. And I also save change!

I just budget myself and make a spreadsheet of of savings, what I have left over and allocate my spending.
I save money overall by bringing lunch to work, buying coffee and making it instead of spending it daily. I do my own mani's and pedi's. I don't shop all the time yet I do splurge once in a while. I volunteer as a panelist at Estee Lauder and make extra money. I also drive slower now so I don't waste gas. Um, what else- FH and I don't go out to dinner as often as we used to and I manage to save at least a grand a month. I thought I could never do it. But, I literally live on 2 dollars a day. Believe me- it's hard but once you discipline yourself, it can be done!

PS: Do you have a 401K? If so, make sure you have it BEFORE TAXES. You can actually save on taxes that way too!

I don't have one either. I pay cashhhhh always. If I don't have the money, I don't buy it.

Not well . . trying to pay off wedding and credit card bills, and student loans, and the regular bills, and won't have income for about two months (he will, I won't). So, I'm just trying to make sure we have what we need and any extra will go to the hall or another vendor. For instance, if I have an extra hundred or so next month, it won't go to the hall but I will payoff the chair bow company or the limos, which are nearly paid for already. I'd like to get the DJ, limos, chair bows and photog paid off by the Winter, so the Hall is all that's left for the biggies.

I just finished paying off my credit card account last month... woooohoooo!!!! This will save me a lot.
But i also brown bag. Sometimes when I am good, i can get away with only paying for gas in a week.
I put money away as soon as it hits my bank account. If i can put away $250 a paycheck then I save $500 a month and FH does the same. Any overtime that i do goes into the wedding account as well.
FH collects coins lol.
But I think I need to be better with coupons and checking for sales. Usually I don't consider prices of food i just buy what I want. I need to start paying more attention.

I have become so cheap!
I always look for ways to get things cheaper, if I find shoes I like, I look around on the internet to find them cheaper, or find a pair similar for no more than $20
FH and I never really went out a lot but whenever we make plans to go out to eat , we're always change our mind on the way and opt for Wendys or McDonalds lolz..it actually really saves A LOT
I buy my drinks for work at Big Lots and stock up...20oz Gatorade is 70cents compared to $1.25 at the deli
I try to only get my nails and eyebrows down once a month..
My hair I try to make last at least 3 or 4 months...
I try to bring coupons when grocery shopping..
Those are the thing I can think of off the top of my head..every little bit helps!!

Ohh a big thing that helped us was putting the wedding off a year and getting our credit card bills down really low... now we only have 2 credit cards and we're able to make small payments..

we're not. it's driving me crazy. everytime i'm ready to make a big payment @ the RH, some unpredictable expense comes up and ***** all the extra cash out of my bank account.
it's really stressing me out

I only use coupons when shopping ...We eat at home instead of going out..we take lunch to work..and the key to saving money that has helped me the most to save...Just don't spend it! I know it's really hard .....but it works! oh...and stay away from the mall..lol

I am in the same boat and I am actually working a second job now to help cover the wedding costs! I started doing the following and it's helping ALOT:
Bring lunch to work more than 2 days a week Bring a list with you when you go shopping and STICK TO IT Don't eat out as much, it'll help the weight loss thing too if your trying! Don't party as much. Save it for the wedding! Cut back on any crazy shopping sprees if you like to shop. Try to car pool whenever possible
If I think of anything else I will add to the list! Hope this helps a little ;)

I start bringing lunch and breakfast to work, we eat out a lot less, I dont shop for fun anymore, i do my manicure myself more often instead of weekly.... I cant give up my daily starbucks yet though, I dont know how to let go.
