How can I swing this??

How can I swing this??

Ok- so I have had a couple of different scenarios-- but it looks like my church will be in Suffolk-- in the bayshore- islip area-- the RH is east wind. I am DYING to take my pics at OWG-- I know that if I don't I will be dissapointed-- I don't want FH & I to see eachother before the church-- I am willing to make the church as early as necessary. The problem is-- if we have the church- then drive all the way up to OWG-- then out to EW for a 7:30 cocktail hour on a Friday night we are going to be stuck in GRIDLOCK traffic. I have tossed up the idea of just picking somewhere else for pics-- every vendor I;ve talked to recommended this-- but I just know that I will be so upset if I don't do it. Does anyone have an idea as to a time line so that I can have the pictures that I am dying for!! Please help!!

Yeah, thats all you can do...but then you will seriously cut your ceremony attendance if its on a Friday.

I know that it may be a far fetch idea....but what about on your wedding day having the church early in the am....take pics elsewhere, enjoy your Reception. Then at another time (maybe the next morning) taking the pics at OWG? Ask your photographer how much more it would cost. That way, you get pics at OWG and somewhere else, and you don't have to worry about traffic.
Another suggestion would be if your Reception is earlier in the day, you can go take pics later, but I don't think that would work

I think it would be cutting it close. Try and make your ceremony as early as you can. Cause you have to remember if your having a mass it's about 1 hr 15 min then you have the receving line which will be about 30 min or so and then pics at the church. so that brings you to about 3:45 if you start at 2. So then travel time to OWG an then pics. You might be cutting it very close. cause then you will get to OWG by about 4:30 or so and then you need enough time to take a good amount of pics. I would say about 45min to 1hr to get atleast some good pics. it would be very close.

I am also freaking out because i would lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve to take my pics there but I am getting married on a sunday so the earliest church is 2:00 with a mass figure out by 3 then to meet and greet everyone like 3:30 then i am in Queens so it will take a good 45 minutes to get there so figure 4:15-4:30 so figure 1 hr for pics then to drive back for a 5:30 cocktail hr is by no means possible I am thinking of having our e-shoot there in the fall
