I saw this kitten on petfinder and I am in love! I always wanted an orange kitten, but I don't know whether to adopt one before the HM (it would be alone other than someone visiting to feed it for over a week!). Any advice? Should we just wait? Also, are male or female cats nicer? I have a mean male one, but don't know if it is just his personality! He is staying with my mom after the wedding because he attacks FH every time he sees him!
I love orange kitties!! My dad adopted a tiny little peanut from NSAL and I mean he was itty bitty!!
And now he's the size of a small dog!!!

Our cat is white with orange spots and I adore her. She ain't no kitten any longer , though!!
I might suggest waiting until after your HM .. they require a little more attention than adult cats do when you first get them... how old is this kitty?
ETA: I think you can have sweet cats or mean cats of any gender ... I used to think the males were the 'nicer' ones but that isn't often the case. Our cat is female and she has definite moods swings.. can go from super-affection to downright nasty in a blink of an eye. Kind of like humans
You do have a better chance when you get them as a kitten to socialize them and they are more affectionate.. but that is not always the case either. Some cats are just meanies... there is nothing you can do! My brother had his cat from a baby and she is just ROTTEN.. but heck, he still loves her

My Kitties do not go near places I do not want them to. I have cat repellent from Petco that keeps them off sofas and chairs. I also vote for males. My males are much more people orientated. I have a wacko calico but I've heard its because she was bottle fed and some people say its cause she is a calico. By the way ALL CALICOS ARE FEMALE.

He does still bite me in the mornings....love that!
his latest thing is letting tom pet him.....and being all lovey dovey with him.....the second i touch him...he bites! i don't get it!!

My DH has a litter of kittens, along with the mommy cat, that were dumped off in front of his hospital this past week in a cardboard box.
There are all different kittens...2 orange, 1 black, I think 1 calico...anyway...his office is in Port Jefferson Station...these kittens are only about 4 weeks, so they are not old enough for adoption, but when you get back from your honeymoon they would be.
Let me know if you are interested and I'll go and take pictures for you to see the little mushes!

well, you see that stance that gunnar is in? that's what he looks like right before he sinks his teeth into you!
last night he was trying to get to my hand.....and he literally jumped into the air from the floor to get at it - he was like 6 inches off the ground!!

does meow have front claws? gunnar was declawed in front...so he makes good use of his teeth and back claws, but it puts him at a disatvantage.....

MEOW IS DECLAWED IN FRONT TOO!!!!! Oh....an almost equal match Meow weighs over 20 lbs, but Gunnar looks pretty big too!
