A mutual friend introduced us on accident and then lied and told him I was interested and told me he was interested. Our friend just laughes at what he started, he NEVER thought we would date let alone get married!

we went to high school together (hes a year older and I had the biggest crush on him) then we wound up at the same college in Boston and then we kept running into one another in NYC (literally on the street, in the subway etc etc). We always had been dating other people but after that many chance run-ins we figured it was time to go out on a date. The rest is history...

Through mutual friends. He had a crush on forever and I would never give hime a chance and one night, Well lets just say I didnt think nerd boy had it in him. Woohooo

We met online - it was a Computer Networking class. I figured he was a skinny little computer geek, but when we finally met in person to study for the final, he turned out to be a 6'1' , 210 lb. cute jock!!!!! I still didn't want to date him because he's 5 years younger than me, but he persisted, and his sweetness won me over......

He sent me 2 emails and I didn't reply. He finally caught my attention in the 3rd and I wrote back. (He's one persistent guy!)

The same night that I finally replied, he got me to instant message him, then eventually call him. We met for dinner 2 days later.

On a side note (for those who met in a club), my FH told me he loved me for the first time at Exit.

We met after September 11th. I was up on stage singing in my choir and I noticed someone looking at me from across the room. So I thought I was seeing things. Then after service (I'm still on stage singing for people as they leave) I noticed he was waiting around looking at me. Then a woman I hardly knew (I've only known her for a couple of months) said you see that guy over there...that's my friend he came here to meet you but I don't have time to introduce you (since she had to go pick up her kids).

Anyway I find out later that he wanted to met me based on her very short description. She is latin, she goes to church, drives a car, works, and is sweet. lol! He said when he heard my name his heart skipped a beat and he felt like he had to meet me. So we talk afterwards and mind you I've had this desire to be a history teacher and he tells me he's a history teacher. Anyway we were engaged three months later and getting married in 10 days!!!
I know that he is a gift from God. Thanks for letting me share!

awww Fletch that is so cute--1st grade!!

To make a realllllly long story short, I'll just leave it that we met through mutual friends.....who were dating each other and no longer are! Worked out in our favor though! Love @ first sight when he shook my hand and we were introduced! I felt something the second I looked into his eyes!! HE lives in Brooklyn & since I NEVER go to that neck of the woods my friend talked me into hanging out with them one weekend when he came out to the island! She wouldn't shut up about how nice and sweet and funny this guy was so to shut her up & out of sheer curiousity (I was kinda dating someone else @ the time), I went to hang out with them! I still have the movie stub from that fateful night-4/29/00

My FH used to throw parties @ LEGACY...many moons ago--before i entered the picture!! haha

at the elevator my first day of interning for the government (yes, he started dating the 'intern' in DC during the whole Monica scandal - not very smart i know!).
he said, 'first day huh?' and i said 'am i that obvious?' and then i turned and looked at him, and that was it - love at first site

we thought we were so sly, but at the end of the summer when we finally announced our love affair, nobody was surprised, they said they took one look at us together in the same room and they could feel the sparks! so much for keeping it a secret!

Well, it is a day that I will never forget....this guy who was wearing the dorkiest broken glasses with red croakies holding them on his face walked down the hall looking like he was starving to death, I said to my co-worker 'what in the world is that? He looks like he just came out of Vietnam?' My FI is Asian---he doesn't have broken glasses anymore or red croakies, as it turns out his glasses got broken. Today thanks to laser surgery I get to look at his beautiful face with out that stuff. I still laugh when I think about that day. God I love him!

I love these questions! We first met at the gym I worked at, then I invited him to the old sprats (now Mirage) I was a shot girl and thought it would be fun to hang out (that was Valentine's Day 1997) I fell so hard for him.... And here I am getting married to my love in 7 months...
