It was our 3 year anniversary and he had to work. So when he got home, he went into our bedroom with my son, and came out with my gifts. We all sat on the couch, as I opened each gift. The last gift was the Cinderella DVD. He calls me his Cinderella, because I feed the birds and squirrels etc. I loved the DVD, and started to cry. After that he said theres one more thing. Pulled the box out of his pocket and opened it BAM!!!!! Although he didn't ask, I asked What does this mean? He said with tears in his eyes, I want to be with you forever, I want you to be my wife!! Of course I said yes, and I kept crying, went upstairs to show his mother, called EVERYONE in the world, then went out to dinner. It was special.

On the beach right after it snowed - at sunset... it was very romantic...

Well even though we met through friends at a party, FH and I actually first started talking through Friendster. So to propose FH made a screen name on Friendster called Will and then stuff about me said 'you marry me'. Anyway, i had just come out of the bathroom and FH was like do we know anyone named Will because they just sent me a Friend request and I was like no I dont think so and sat down in front of his computer. Well this 'will' person had all of their facts matching mine and FH's and had pictures of us, I was so confused, it took me a second or two to scroll down to see the 'Marry me' part. I was totally shocked. He then got down on one knee and officially asked. Of course I said Yes. :) :) :) It was nice he did it while we were out of town visiting my grandma at the hospital so afterwards we went to the hospital and told all my family and my grandma go to be the first person to know which was really special for me. (Grandma is fine now and no longer in the hospital).

We went out to Montauk for the weekend and he proposed on the beach.

Incase you were wondering lol...
Mine took me to the Church where we are getting married and we both knew we were going to get married there. They have beautiful gardens and a courtyard so on a really pretty day in June he just said let's go and walk around there (because I love it there and had my communion and confirmation there, always went there, etc.) It was a very special place for me.
So, he's hugging me and all of a sudden I feel something behind my back and I was like weird (he was actually opening the ring box but making it like he was hugging me).
So he kept saying how much he loved me and that he was going to take care of me forever and I was like yeah I know (thinking why he is talking about all this deep stuff now??) and then he got down on one knee and I realized!! LOL and he said my name, first and middle, and asked me if I would marry him and I was so shocked but I said YES right away and then he almost grabbed the wrong hand haha but he realized right away-so him!! so funny!.
It was such a pretty day and the sun was shining! It was great... YAY! So then of course we ran all over town telling all of our family members!!**

Oh my god!!! My story is very similar. FH and I went to the church where we always talked about wanting to get married. It's not the parish I grew up in, but the first one that him and I went to together and just felt so comfortable there ever since. We had just spent some time talking to the pastor and then headed into the church to sit down for a little while. After we walked out, we were standing in the courtyard and FH looked up at the steeple and started talking all about where a photographer would have to stand to take photos of us on the steps. Needless to say he was just trying to distract me so I would look up. When I turned back towards him he was down on one knee, the ring in his hand, and tears rolling down his face. He also said my first, middle, and last name. I was in total shock, and I will never forget that moment.

He had the whole thing planned for months, he called my job to get the weekend of my 26th b-day off, and had a whole night planned that included dinner and some of the things we did on our first date! We left a little late, so we really only got to go to dinner, but after that he insisted (he had to, it was freezing that night) that we walk on the docks in Port Jeff, where we ate take out on our 1st date. So we walked down the docks until he found a spot he liked (he was acting so strange) Then he handed me a birthday card which said inside 'Brace Yourself' then he got down on one knee and said all these beautiful things that I totally forgot!!! It was so sweet and romantic!

This past Easter....he made me a cute Easter basket and came by my house with it early in the morning. After I looked at all the candy he was like 'This didn't fit' and it was a cute oversized pink satin egg from Dove chocolates. he told me i should open it....and i didn't want to since we were about to have breakfast, and he said, 'no really...open it' [It totally didn't occur to me that he was already down on one knee.] so i opened it and surprise!!

he asked officially at that point and i said yes.

JASON THRU ME A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY, INVITED ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. AT MIDNITE SURROUNDED BY EVERYONE, HE GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE AND PROPOSED.

Background-- I knew he had gone to the jeweler to order ring. i didn't know when i was gonna get it or how he was going to do it. We were at his brother's wedding in MA.... it was a wedding weekend! we were staying at a beach cottage. MOnday morning, we were in bed, under the covers... he kept asking me what i wanted to do driving back to NY i sais i wanted to go straight to the jeweler... he was like well maybe if you wish really hard your dream will come true... he then pulled out my hand and the ring was already on... he had slipped it on my finger w/o me knowing under the covers... me... crying, he asked and i said Yes. followed by very loud screeching

It was the night of his police academy graduation party. During the party, there were speeches made here and there from the fellow recruits to the teaching officers (i'm blanking on their official name). Well all of a sudden, my FH got up there with a microphone and at that minute i knew. And to be completely honest, i was so in shock and so nervous, that i didn't hear a word he said.

But what he said was (i had to ask his sister who was there afterwards) 'i just wanted to thank all the wives, girlfriends and significant others who have stood by all of us during these past 6 months while we were in academy. But in particular i want to thank my girlfriend Ali. Ali can you come out here please? (And this is when he made me come out in the middle of the dance floor in front of everyone. Keep in mind... i hate attention). 'i loved being able to come home to you every day and see your smiling face and i hope to be able to do that forever. (got down to one knee) 'will you marry me?'

And as he was getting down on one knee... he didn't actually have the ring on him. His brother in law (who graduated the academy with him) casually walked behind him and dropped the box into his hand. And i don't even think anyone noticed. Gee you think my FH was nervous at all? I mean he forget the ring!!!

Oh and the cutest was that i totally didn't even think it could happen that night because my mind was elsewhere (family health issues) and it didn't even cross my mind. But he said that he wanted to do it that night because he didn't see it as his accomplish... but as ours!
