How did FH propose to you?

Even though I've already told this story, I will tell it again because I love it so much!

I was planning on meeting FH in our native country Greece 2 summers ago. I was already there for my best friend's wedding and FH was going to meet me so we could go see my parents and then travel to where we are both originally from so that our parents could meet for the first time (both sets of parents were vacationing there at the time).

So we drove from my mom's house in Greece to his mom's house in Greece. It took us about 8 hours to get there so naturally I was SO exhausted by the time we reached our destination but my FMIL had dinner set up and after we made introductions we were going to sit down to eat.

HOWEVER, FH asked me to take a quick drive to the church in his town to 'light a candle' to thank god for allowing us a safe trip. I didn't think anything of it so we went. As we drove up this scenic road, I saw the church in the distance--it was gorgeous. We finaly got there and FH parked his car and we stood at the top of a cliff overlooking the town. FH got sentimental about reminiscing about his summers as a child here and then he turned to me and said, 'I have a present for you'. He ran to the car and pulled out a book, which was not surprising because he gets me books all the time, but he urged me to open it. the title was 'No one belongs here more than you' and he had doctored the book so that it was written by 'him' LOL Anyway he told me to go through each page because he had written an inscription on each page and when I passed the first few pages I saw a huge hole carved in the middle of the book and a ring inside with a note saying 'will you marry me?'

I screamed!!!! LOL

When we went back to the house to tell everyone, FH had this big idea about telling them that we had broken up..LOL. So we walked in very seriously and said, 'everyone, we just went for a walk and we have something very importat to tell you....we are no longer boyfriend and girlfriend...........we are now fiancees!!!!'

Everyone's mouth dropped! It was an AWESOME moment in time.

It was a friday after work fh was supposed to pick me up from LIRR train station , my cell died that night so I borrowed a strangers phone (i was so mortified) to tell FH what time the train would be in at little neck. i felt so awkward using the strangers phone that i told him the wrong time, 50 minutes later than i was coming in... fh being so nervous did not even pick up on the fact that my usual 30 min train ride turned into 1 hr and a half. lol .. anyway i get to little neck and call him on a pay phone and he says he will leave in like 10 minutes, so i start screaming, 10 minutes , what do u mean .. he rushes off the phone and says i am coming now .... 20 minutes later i am still standing there at this point thinking the worst/wierdest things are going through my mind, he got into a car accident, he is playing a joke on me , ... then light bulb goes off ... duh.. poor guy is probably taking a dump. so he finnaly shows up and of course i am nagging and he confirms that he was going #2 lol.....
we had plans to go out to dinner that night so fh suggests that we go straight to to the restaurant.. I say hell no , 'I am dirty and ugly and want to go home and shower plus i dont want to go to dinner at 6pm , what the hell are we 85 years old?.. then i continue to bi&ch that the reason he wants to go to dinner early is because he wants to get home in time for the met game, so i start busting his balls about how much he ***** , blah blah ...... the whole time he is cracking up and saying yeah you know me so well... so i demand to go home first and he says ok .... meanwhile we are laughing so hard bc i am fake yelling at him and he is just saying ok your right , yes i suck blah blah... then he opens the front door i walk in behind him and i see a huge sign hanging from our ceiling that says will you marry me ...he is on his knee and smiling and saying will you stop yelling at me and marry me ? at this point i go into shock and just start screaming and kissing him and laughing... after about 20 seconds of that we look at eachother and say who do we call first ? hahah

we were so excited that we ended up being on the phone for the next hour with loved ones , walking all over the apt and outside... i was mostly claling people from the toilet bowl bc like i said in the past all nerves good/bad go right to my tummy soooo i was on the bowl hahaha... it was an awesome night!!!!!

Awwwww hahaha..that is too funny though!!! You yelled at him for being on the bowl and then YOU wound up on the bowl!!!

FH is in a band, so me and a bunch of our friends were at one of their shows. They happened to get a show at a great club in Philly- The World Cafe.

So the band is done, and all of a sudden, the singer gives the phone to FH, and he said

'I'd like to ask my girlfriend to come up on stage.'

I literally froze, and a friend of ours, completely stunned, says, really loud, 'No F-ing WAY!' So I get up there, and he gets the ring. Before he even got a chance to say anything, some guy from the crowd yells,

'Get down on one knee, buddy!' FH laughed, and said 'give me a chance!' So he gets down, and asks. And everyone started clapping. Just a wonderful memory.

I couldn't stop laughing the entire time. It was really great, and I was shocked, because he's so shy, I never would have thought he'd do it in front of all of those people.

THAT is sooooo effin cute!!!!

I had just gotten back from 5 days on the road for work, I was in Boston and then Florida..my flight landed at 3PM and the last night of my trip, I was a real genius and stayed out til 530AM and the following day was FH's Birthday. I had asked a hundred times what he wanted to do for his bday and he kept saying 'nothing just a quiet night at home.' Fine by me!

So I get home and I'm exhausted, hes all up on me to go to his mom's for cake. So I suck it up, I drink 9 cups of coffee at his moms and I'm still falling asleep.

We leave there, he keeps asking me to do something and i'm like WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM you wanted to stay home, I'm sleepy, leave me aloneeeeeeeeeee! hahah

Finally the next morning, we're scheduled to do the Alzheimer's Association walk (his gramma has it, so sad) and its raining. Well its raining/humid/gross out. So I shower, get ready and I'm on the last step, deciding what to wear. So I start to have a hiss about how I don't know what to wear, etc, etc and he comes around the corner of the bedroom and says, 'why don't you wear this?' holding the ring...and im like ARE YOU SERIOUS ARE YOU SERIOUS? Can't stand up, start to shake, hahaha

I keep saying 'I need to sit' and hes like 'can you say yes first???' still on one knee, hahaha and i'm like DUH YES!!!!!!!! lolol

Always a PITA!

It was the day before St. Patrick's Day in 07. It was snowing and he was coming to my house. He rang the bell and I told him to just come in but he insisted that I come outside. I went outside and he got down on 1 knee in the snow and told me that it was our turn now and will you marry me? Of course I said yes
