I was shocked beyond shocked. Ended up on top of the couch screaming in confusion...

He said originally he was going to hide it in the ceiling in a box because i love to break down the walls, and next was the ceiling and when i hit it it would come down and he would pretend he got hit... and tell me to open the box... and then boom..

I like the snapple cap!

That is so cute with the snapple bottle!!!
For some reason, I read the post below where you mentioned the blueberry snapple, so I thought, he put the ring in the bottle?! She could have choked! But then I scrolled up and saw the pic. That makes more sense!

I just got home from work and he called me into the kids bedroom... My (then 11 month old) was standing in the middle of the room. and i leaned down and she took 4 steps to me and I got excited.. I didn't notice she was wearing a 'Will you marry daddy' shirt.. He told me to look at her shirt then I turned around he was on one knee and my other daughter had a bouquet of flowers

He got me by total surprise...I sorta thought that something was up, b/c he was acting scared and different..but I kept thinking...he couldn't have kep THAT a secret from everyone...and NO ONE was acting like ANYTHING different. HAHA
Well, anyways, it was out 4 year anniversary, and we went to our yearly steak house over on 347 and I ran off to the bathroom. I asked if he could be acting like himself when I got back. Well, when I got back...there was this beautiful rind sitting on my plate in this little black box. I sorta just laughed it off b/c I was in such shock. Then the came around the table, took the ring out of the box. and got on one knee. It was soo sweet. The whole restaurant was clapping after I said yes. LOL. I LOVE FH! lol

On our 3 year anniversary, FH had bought me a build a bear dressed up as a little groom holding a hear shaped pillow.....I had no clue it was a groom until after he proposed. I just thought the bear looked really cute all dressed up. As I was looking at the bear FH told me there was something in the heart and when I went to look in it FH got down on 1 knee and proposed. I was so shocked I forgot to answer him right away.

Nothing over the top but it was perfect

He proposed on our 1 year anniversary (4th of July) at 8:30 am in our living room with this glass cube that had a little note I wrote him inscribed in it-

And the note said 'I will definitely say yes'






I had a feeling it was coming soon but I was totally thrown off guard...

When I met FH I had mono so on our first real date (after having known him for about 6 months) I went to his house to play video games and he gave me a massge once I got tired and I took a nap on his bed.

Fast forward a couple years...

We were going to the Dominican Republic for vacation... I was in a meeting at work when I got a call from him to give him my dad's cell number... I asked him why and he gave me this really stupid answer and I totally felt bad for asking why.

So the day we were leaving for Dominican Republic he said he had to get a hair cut and was gone for literally 3 hours... I was like ***? LOL

When we got to the DR I had a feeling it was going to happen. Every time we were alone in a beautiful secluded area I was like this is it... omg! HAHA FH is very bad at keeping things a secret... so I figured it was going to happen sooner than later.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday went by... I gave up hope. Wednesday night we wer walking back after dinner and he asked what I wanted to do. I said it didnt matter to me... he asked if I wanted to go back to the room and he would give me a massage.. I was like yeah!!!!

So he was massaging my back, arms... hands... and teling me how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend forever with me... and then slipped the ring on my finger. I was shocked.. had no clue at this point lol.
I turned around he asked if I would marry him and I said yes yes yes!!
He suggested we go to the bathroom to clean the oil off the ring and he'd tell me about my diamonds... after he got done washing it off I told him to do it right and get down on 1 knee.
Which he did.

We went on vacation to relax and visit FH's sister in California. On Saturday night we went to Jeoffrey's, a restaurant in Malibu. Although we had reservations we were told we had to wait an hour for our table. So FH asked if I would want to take a walk down to the beach awhile. We followed a little path and went down the stairs to the water and walked along the coast where there were beautiful mansions! So we're walking and walking and walking and I say to FH 'Where are we going?' and he ignored me and we kept walking! The beach went on a curve and right around the bend in the sand said 'WILL YOU MARRY ME' with rose petals around it! Then FH got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said YES! So by this time im hysterically crying!! Then we are just standing there kissing and I felt people staring at us from their balcony and a man comes down and asks us if we want him to take our picture? We immediately looked at eachother and think 'Oh my god I know who this is!!' So FH asks him Are you David Arquette? and he says yes! He starts telling us about a meteor shower there was going to be that night and starts to fly a kite with his daughter Coco! We start to walk back to the restaurant when Courtney Cox yells from the balcony 'well, what did you say?' and I said YES, then she said Congratulations!!! When we got back to the restaurant there was rose petals, champagne and candles all set up on the table! After we were finished with dinner we walked out to the car and there was a man holding a sign that said congrats mikey and meghan and his sister got us a limo and we all went out to celebrate!!!!

Seriously??? Thats crazy.

My fiancee came up to my elementary school on our annual field day. I had invited him to stop by since he had a meeting in the morning near there, but then that morning, I changed my mind and told him not to come. He showed up anyway.

I was sorta embarrassed he was there and he hung around for like a half hour. I was busy with my students. Then, at the front of the school, there was a Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck (I love ice cream!!) Apparently, at this time, a few of my co workers knew he was going to propose! I still had NO clue. He asked to hold the sign I was holding so my students could find me and I kept telling him no. He finally grabbed it from me, got down on one knee, and proposed in front of my colleagues, my students, and many parents. He got down on one knee, and I got down with him..... My Teacher assistant toppled on top of me, and I felt like a celebrity after it happened. Then I invited him to stay for the rest of the afternoon, because I told him he was VIP then!!

He surprised me with a week long trip to California for my 30th birthday. We started out in San Francisco and on our 3rd day there we were driving down the coast to LA. On the drive down we would stop to admire the beautiful views. We stopped at Carmel by the Sea which is a small town kind of like the Hamptons. While walking on the beach he down on one knee and asked me. I was so surprised and first said 'you better not be joking' LOL

Then started crying and said Yes.

on a carribean cruise as we were walking onto the cruise ship we were taking that first welcoming entrance photo and that is when he got on his knees in front of thousands of people, as the photographer over there was taking non stop photos of us of every angle and movement, lol.. it was amazing and loved it!

I love reading everyone's proposal stories!!!

It was our 2 year anniversary. I wanted to go to dinner in NYC. FH said it's too hot - let's go out to Montauk for the day. I was annoyed. That morning (Saturday) we wake up and I say 'Happy Anniversary!' and give him his cards (I always get him 2 a funny one and a serious one) and he says 'get ready I want to leave in an hour - I'll go get us bagels.' So now I am hating him because I got no 'happy anniversary' and no card. I get in the shower get all ready and he's still not back??? I'm not going to call him because at this point, I'm annoyed. He comes in a few minutes later with a card. I say 'oh you had to run out and buy a card huh' He says 'It's 2 years - not a big deal - get over it.'

And we get in the car for the ride to Montauk. The entire car ride I'm mad at him. My girlfriends are calling and we're chatting and my one friend says 'are you guys getting engaged or what?' I say 'NOPE' and hang up.

We get to Montauk and instead of going to the beach like I want to, FH wants to go to the lighthouse. It's 100 degrees out and he wants me to climb to the top - I say 'no way' and he goes without me. At this point, I'm thinking he's really being an a$$ today. He comes back down and says 'let's take a walk' so we go for a walk down on the beach behind the lighthouse. Now I'm wearing flip flops and he makes me climb the rocks. So now, I'm really annoyed with him. We get to the very tip of Long Island and he sits down. So I sit down and we're just hanging out watching the waves and the entire time, I'm so angry with him for not making a bigger deal about our anniversary. Now looking back I realize he kept looking around and he was getting annoyed everytime someone walked past us. Finally he gets up and walks to the edge. I stay put sitting where I am and I'm talking to his back. All of a sudden, he turns around with the ring box open and gets down on his knee. I start crying and screaming - it was amazing!!!

Then of course, if total FH style, he tells me to stop crying because people will think we're fighting. I walk all the way back to the the lighthouse and then take a picture of the ring on my cell phone and text it to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

YES!! I still cant believe I got to meet him!! Oh yeah and the engagement was awesome too! haha

it was sooo unromantic lol....we were hanging out with his family at 1am drinking and having a good time and then all of a sudden his family starts speaking croatian and im clueless ...the next thing i knew he put the ring box on my chair when i got up to look at something with his cousin...the rest is a blurr from the alcohol

It was a friday after work fh was supposed to pick me up from LIRR train station , my cell died that night so I borrowed a strangers phone (i was so mortified) to tell FH what time the train would be in at little neck. i felt so awkward using the strangers phone that i told him the wrong time, 50 minutes later than i was coming in... fh being so nervous did not even pick up on the fact that my usual 30 min train ride turned into 1 hr and a half. lol .. anyway i get to little neck and call him on a pay phone and he says he will leave in like 10 minutes, so i start screaming, 10 minutes , what do u mean .. he rushes off the phone and says i am coming now .... 20 minutes later i am still standing there at this point thinking the worst/wierdest things are going through my mind, he got into a car accident, he is playing a joke on me , ... then light bulb goes off ... duh.. poor guy is probably taking a dump. so he finnaly shows up and of course i am nagging and he confirms that he was going #2 lol.....
we had plans to go out to dinner that night so fh suggests that we go straight to to the restaurant.. I say hell no , 'I am dirty and ugly and want to go home and shower plus i dont want to go to dinner at 6pm , what the hell are we 85 years old?.. then i continue to bi&ch that the reason he wants to go to dinner early is because he wants to get home in time for the met game, so i start busting his balls about how much he ***** , blah blah ...... the whole time he is cracking up and saying yeah you know me so well... so i demand to go home first and he says ok .... meanwhile we are laughing so hard bc i am fake yelling at him and he is just saying ok your right , yes i suck blah blah... then he opens the front door i walk in behind him and i see a huge sign hanging from our ceiling that says will you marry me ...he is on his knee and smiling and saying will you stop yelling at me and marry me ? at this point i go into shock and just start screaming and kissing him and laughing... after about 20 seconds of that we look at eachother and say who do we call first ? hahah

we were so excited that we ended up being on the phone for the next hour with loved ones , walking all over the apt and outside... i was mostly claling people from the toilet bowl bc like i said in the past all nerves good/bad go right to my tummy soooo i was on the bowl hahaha... it was an awesome night!!!!!
