Ok, so here are some details.
I was feeling retched all day, my car wasn't working, and all I wanted to do was go home and take a nap and get to bed early. But Kyle made some plans to go out to dinner with his family at 8 o'clock. So, after work I decided to take a nap. I woke up around 7, and heard Kyle coming and going from the apartment. I asked him what he was doing. And he explained that he was cleaning out his car, etc. Then one time he came back in and asked 'Kim, have you seen Dude? (one of our cats) I think he escaped or something. I can't find him.' So, I was freaking out. Kyle said 'let me check outside a bit. Maybe he got out while I was cleaning the car.' About three minutes later, he comes back in and says, 'Kim, you have to come see where Dude is. Hurry.' So, I sprint up, run out the house with no shoes on, and Kyle leads me down to the art gallery we live upstairs from. I walk inside to this....
Still, no clue what's going on. I figured Megan (the gallery owner) was having an event or something. I was focused on Dude scared and hiding in the corner. I run over to Dude. I endearingly call him a little sh&%, and pick him up. He had a red collar on. Still, no clue what is going on. At this point, I ask Kyle....'why does he have a collar on? Who put this collar on our cat?!'
Then I notice the slip of paper rolled up in the collar.
That's when it clicked. I open the note and it said
'Dear Mom, please marry Dad. Love, Dude and Sweet Pea.'

I turn to Kyle, he's holding the ring, and he says how excited he is to spend the rest of his life with me. He asks, I say of course.
And that's when people come out of the woodwork.

We were in Hawaii. We had had the most wonderful day. We had just had dinner at Dukes Canoe Club, which was our favorite restaurant. We took a romantic walk on the beach. You could hear Steel drums and Hawaiian music in the background. All the tiki torches were lit and beautiful. It was the perfect setting. Danny told me to turn around because he got something for me. I turned my back to him, figuring he bought me something at the gift shop. He said ok, turn around... I turned around and there he was, down on one knee in the sand and shallow water. I was completely speechless for the first time in my life. I couldn't even speak, when i was finally able to muster a word, I said YES!!! and grabbed him and hugged him. Then, my shoes started floating away in the ocean, Danny ran in the water to get them. We then sat on the rock in the ocean and I started to cry, at that point I was so in the clouds I could barely speak, we just kept kissing. My purse then fell in the water, but I told him to just leave it in the water, at that point I did not care about anything else...lol, I was so happy. ! It turns out that he had my engagement ring in his bag during the whole trip, just waiting for the perfect moment to propose, well he definetely picked it! he went with my grandma to the city to pick out my ring(she had flown in from Minnesota) and that he had it since November in the safe in our basement, sneaky little boy!
