Fh proposed at our housewarming when he was giving a supposed 'thank you' speak for everyone coming.

FI proposed in the Bahamas. It was our first night there and we were on the beach. It was very romantic....

We went upstate for the weekens and he proposed at the top of Katerskill (Hanes) falls. It was gorgeous and perfect because I love it up there

He took me to dinner at Old Homestead for my birthday, I went to the bathroom right before we left so when we got into the car he asked me to get something out of my bag when i opened my bag there it was... the ring...

he took me to eat dinner at the river cafe on valentines day and then took me to the brooklyn promenade in the cold windy rain and said a speech and got down on one kneee

anyway my story:

for the heck of it (and, to be honest, i was dying to get engaged) we went to a wedding thing they were having in the city at Michael C. Fina. You could meet the editor in chief of the knot magazine and we did (she's a nice lady) and while you're there if you registered they entered your name in a drawing to win your wedding bands (up to 2500 for the pair), so we registered for fun and then left...i got a call a few weeks later informing me that i had won the wedding band drawing...i almost fell down!..ok so we go into the city to pick out the bands and order our size..so once we're done we go to one of our favorite restaraunts (they make the BEST sandwiches!) after we get our food and i'm busy digging in..FH puts a box on the table...i didn't see it because i'm too busy eating! so then finally he says look what i got you! i see the box and my eyes got big as saucers...i could get all excited and he couldn't get down on one knee because the place was packed and one of my mothers co-workers was sitting right next to us and i didn't want my mother to hear about the engagement from someone other than me...so yeah...that's how we got engaged and got our wedding bands!

i know...that's why he's my muffin!

Since my birthday was in the middle of the week Dwayne thought it was best to wait until the Friday for us to go out and celebrate. I agreed. Dwayne was working late as usual and gets home around 8:00... Except for that Wednesday... I tried calling him several times at work, and there was no answer... I called my mom telling her how I was worried about him, and at its way passed the time he usually gets home. She reassured me that he was fine... and maybe went out to dinner with his friends and co-workers. He finally showed up around 10:00 and had no explanation of where he was... I figured he was just out getting me a b day gift... waiting for the last minute.

Finally, Friday comes and Dwayne picks me up from work and he is so cute... he had the entire night planned out.

First we went to Carmines, our favorite Italian restaurant in the city where Dwayne gave me my birthday card with tickets for the Broadway show 'Movin' Out'.

Next we went to Toy's R Us and took a ride on the ferris wheel... It was great, we sat in the Barbie Cart... I was wondering why he picked that one... but now I know. If you look in the picture there is a HUGE diamond ring behind his head... I wasn't even thinking of it... so I didn't even realize, but he did it for a CLUE! (I didn't know we were playing CSI)

Then we were off to Central Park for a horse and carriage ride... and THATS WHERE HE DID IT! It was beautiful... I was so happy... and crying... everything was perfect... except... I screamed out... OH MY GOD! DID YOU ASK MY MOM! And... Of course, that is where he was that Wednesday!!! My mom was with him... He really pulled it off!!! I couldn't believe it!

And that wasn't even it!!! Then we were off to 'Movin' Out' which was fantastic...

All and all it was a beautifully planned night... and there is no one else in the world that I would rather be with!
