Yeah honestly- I had NO CLUE. I thought it would be nice because...c'mon how often would we be in sucha beautiful romantic place, but I never thought he would pull off somehting like that. I really love everyone's stories though. They're so romantic....don't you kinda wish sometimes they didn't happen yet because you want them to happen all over again???

i think that all the time! the way he proposed was perfect for me and i wouldnt change it - BUT now when we plan vacations or romantic dinners i think 'OMG MAYBE THIS IS IT' then i am like oh wait it happened already!

Mine either...he said to me that he'll only do it once and he'll never do it for anything else so its special.....

Even though sometimes I think...hmmm if we go out we might be ablt to get a free bottle of wine outta this 'Quick Dan- re-propose'

He had my ring custom designed and had them put 7 little diamonds on each side for the 7 years we've been together. He said one side was for me, one was for him and the diamond in the middle was for us....

I went with my fiancee' on business to Atlanta and before we left NYC to drive down there he had been talking about getting a chain for himself and that he would save money on tax if he bought it in Georgia. So, once we get to ATL (16 hour drive ) and run some errands we go to a jewelry store that his brother suggested to him. When the sales woman approaches us and asks, 'How may I help you?' He replies, 'Oh yes we would like to look at engagement rings...'


Needless to say I was shocked and overjoyed at the same time. He picked out a vintage ring and I was able to get it sized right there and leave the store with my BLING!

FH poped the question under the huge bright full moon, on the golf course at a private country club, I was in shock I couldn't answer , I couldn't speak for like 5 min- which felt like forever, he was down on one knee staring at me , w/ the ring box open. I picked the ring out months before, but I thought he was going to ask at midnight on new years.... he caught me off gurd...

This was my ring, but I was robbed!! An since we were moving we cancelled our insurance policy ,

I inherited my grandmothers 1st e-ring, which I'm still on the fence about havign it re-set... It's a 1.44 round diamond in a tiffany setting

My FH and I have been together for 9 yrs by the time we got engaged. We were at my parents house for Labor Day weekend. It was just another day. We all got up, had breakfast on the porch and had planned a late afternoon walk on the beech so my little sister could fly her kite. My FH was not in the mood for a long walk on the beach with the whole family so it took a little convincing on my part for him to go. Hence, getting engaged that day was not even on my mind. So my mom, dad, grandpa, two of my sisters and my cousin went to Jones Beach for a walk. The day was beautiful and we were all just walking down the boardwalk. D and I were holding hands and just talking. We finally stopped by a few benches where we could sit and watch my lil sister fly her kite. After a few minutes D asked me to walk with him. So we started walking down the shore. We had our feet in the water and it was just so romantic. D stopped me and began to tell me how much he loved me and all of that good stuff. I still had no idea and though it was kind of weird. I noticed that his heart was pounding so hard that I could feel it against me when he hugged me. I even asked him if he was ok since I though he was having a heart attack. We continued to walk down the beach picking shells and rocks. D kept on saying that I needed a better rock for us to keep so we continued to walk. He said that a few times before he took the rocks out of my hand and got down on one knee and pulled out the one rock I really wanted…and asked me to marry him. I cant remember what he said or if I said yes…all I know is that I freaked out…we ran up to the boardwalk to share the news with my family. We hugged and took pictures. I framed the picture we had in a keepsake box along with the shells and rocks we collected that day.

We had gone away to visit friends for the weekend, and it was the anniversary weekend that we had met. I honestly didn't think he'd do it then, I was thinking Dec 14th, our anniversary. So, I'm partying with my friends at one of their houses.. We walked into my friends living room and we were sitting there drinking and the rest of them smoking ciggs, my best friend Joey was being funny with the camera and was takin pictures of me and my 2 girlfriends... then all of a sudden, I saw Justin come up to me with this look in his eyes and I was like 'Babe, what's wrong?' he said 'nothing, absolutely nothing, everything is perfect, and i always want my life to be perfect as is has been since i've been with you, and i don't want to live another day without you by my side, i love you and will you be my wife?' so after me saying 'oh you a$$hole' i said yes and started laughing .... we're not the romantic couple. we are the type to be young and stupid. lol

On Saturday, October 7, 2008, FH and I went out to a nice dinner in Long Beach. He was so calm and at ease, I didn't see anything coming! It was a gorgeous night, so he asked if I wanted to walk on the boardwalk after dinner, and I said sure. We walked and talked on the boardwalk and then he asked if I wanted to walk on the actual beach, so again, I said sure. He said something to make me bring up marriage and we started talking about it. All of a sudden, he stopped and got down on one knee and asked, 'Will you marry me?' I was so excited and surprised and I immediately said yes! The night and beach were beautiful, I had my FH with me...I was in heaven. We went back to my house afterwards where my family and his family were waiting for us!
