Well we wanted late June or early July so my cousins from out of state can come (to avoid finals conflicts). I already have family events the two weekends before and we wanted the 15th (but it was booked), so we took the 8th.
It is actually my parents anniversary and FMIL's bday - which I'm not really thrilled with, but I think it will work out OK. Probably just get a cute little cake for each of them

26 has always ben my lucky number. I was born June 26, I just turned 26.. and Im getting married August 26.
My wedding date was completely coincidential.

well this might be a bit long but I originally wanted to do Feb. of either 2006 or 2007 becuz of our anniversary is in that month and wanted to book it as close to our anniversary as possible but FMIL started to complain about weather since she lives upstate so after hearing her complain I said that if I keep this month she is going to put me in a straight jacket so then we discussed November and we were gonna do the end of November but FH father and Step mother are going away to Vegas and we want them at the wedding. So once again had to change the date. We were thinking of the summer but too many birthdays in our families over the summer so it was hard to come up with a date. Finally I said I don't care we are doing September or June I don't want it to be too hot. So when we found our hall they had a great deal for September and for some reason September 15th sounded great so we went with that then. Then realized it was FH fathers b-day so we will have a cake for him

I picked feb.so it was by the president's day weekend. I'm a teacher too so I have a break then. We didn't want to wait until next summer.

we knew we wanted a summer wedding so we could have it outside and our anniversary is july 5th but thats not a sat. so we made it july 1, close enough

I knew it was going to be a Sunday because I can't have it on a Saturday afternoon since our Rabbi wouldn't do it and I wanted it during the day.
Originally I wanted it in May '06 but changed my mind since I wanted over a year to plan. I love the Summer and Fall and I thought Early September would be perfect. I didn't want Labor Day weekend and I wanted a few weeks before Rosh Hashanah. Actually my original eparty was planned for 9/10/05 so we thought it would be cute to have them a year apart...

Well I really wanted an autumn wedding but FI's family are all from England and the majority of teachers. Teachers in England have a different 'holiday' schedule so they only get 6 weeks off for the summer. It starts around mid-to late july and recommences the very beginning of September so to make it easier for them I picked August - there was only two days left the 11th or the 18th. I flipped a coin so the 18th it is.

We met January 24th but we did not want to get married in January. We both LOVE the fall and the 28th was the closest Saturday night date to the 24th so we went with it!

We picked it because it works around my FI's job schedule (well we hope....LOL). Besides May isn't too hot and it's not too cold. Hopefully we have some nice weather!! The date doesn't really have any significance to us. We just took out the calendar...picked some dates and narrowed it down to May 27th. Whoo hoo!!

I always wanted a May or June wedding, and we decided on June since some of the members of the bridal party are in college still, and this way they would be done with finals. We picked the 17th only because that was one of the two dates that Jericho Terrace had open for the Oak room. So we knew the time of year already, but picked the date based on availability at our hall.

I always wanted a spring wedding and we wanted a Friday night because its a bit cheaper than Sat night. We wound up with the 19th because I wanted it to be before Memorial Day weekend.

I've always wanted a spring wedding... especially since peonies have been my favorite flower since childhood and that's when they're in season. and since my family's oot, memorial day weekend was ideal. would've preferred the sunday of the weekend price-wise, but 5/28's a sad date for my family, so 5/27 it is. it has a nice ring to it too.
