Re: How did you find ur dress
i passed by a store near my dad's that looked nice so i made an appointment. i found a dress that i loved (aka the dress i bought) but continued to look in a few other places.
But when I had a dream about this dress from the first store (Priscilla of Boston), my dad said, that's it. I think you found your dress. So I tried it on again and didn't want to take it off!!!!

Re: How did you find ur dress
I did a search for my fave designer online (Maggie) & narrowed it down...it was the 2nd dress I tried on & after trying on 20-30 more I came back to my first choice.

I knew I liked Demetrios gowns but I didnt look specifically for them when I went shopping. I looked through the racks and had ones pulled off that I liked. The one I ended up getting was the first one I tried on and I LOVE IT!

Re: How did you find ur dress
I am actually using my mother's wedding dress...
It was something special she wanted to do and she kept it preserved all these years!
I am going to clean it of course and then bring it to a bridal salon to have it altered and totally changed to the style I want...
I am actually kind of excited about it!
and my mom is happy!

Re: How did you find ur dress
I just went to a couple of different bridal places and tried on dresses. I had found a dress online that I loved and when I went to the store to try it on it did not look good on me. I ended up choosing something that I never thought I would wear.

Re: How did you find ur dress
The sales associate in the bridal salon found it for me. It had just come out that week and she thought it would look nice on me. I fell in love with it but kept looking. Ultimately, I bought it and wore it on my wedding day.

Re: How did you find ur dress
I went to two different bridal salons and tried everything. I turned out leaning toward something I thought I DIDN'T want, a strapless dress. I found a dress at my third shop, Adrienne's in Islip, which is strapless (I'm adding spaghetti straps), it's an A-line but not ballgowon type, almost sheath-like with a sweep train. It looked and felt right and I knew that was it.

Re: How did you find ur dress
I did a massive internet search. I searched through Maggie Sottero, Eve of Milady, Justin Alexander, Vera Wang, Alfred Angelo, Private Label by G, Impression, Jasmine, and a bunch of others. I found two dresses that I really really liked, and 3 others that I thought were OK (only one of which I actually tried on - couldn't find the others locally). I went to 4 bridal shops total, tried on about a two dozen other dresses. I bought the first one I tried on, that I fell in love with during my online search.

That was my experience too. Gerri at Lillette's showed me a few, I liked my dress on the hanger a lot and tried it on first. It was perfect! I tried on a bunch of other dresses but didn't like any as much.

Re: How did you find ur dress
I was limited due to the placement of a tattoo between my shoulder blades so the salesperson was only able to show me about 5 dresses. The one I ended up with I had already seen on the knot. I didnt ask for it though as I didnt think we could afford it but despite what everyone say about Bridal Reflections, they got me a great price knocking about $700 off.

Re: How did you find ur dress
I had an idea of what I wanted. All I did was spend hours in a bridal salon trying on every type and design made. I actually picked out a dress I really thought I wouldn't like. I just fell in love with it!!!!
