How did you know HE was the ONE
I just thought this would be a good one for us to discuss...I met my FH at a wedding. The bride & groom wanted to hook us up, we didn't know and the day after the wedding they invited us over for a BBQ (they were leaving for the honeymoon the next day) and we were the only ones invited! They went to bed early, so we spent the rest of night talking outside ...and talked and talked and talked... I knew he was it immediately. We've been together every day since...

I have a picture of us that was taken in the first three months of our dating that when I saw it -- I cried because when I looked at it -- I saw my husband.

I knew when he ate spaghetti. It sounds strange, but yes....on our fiourth date we had spaghetti at an italian restaurant, and he ate the spaghetti so nicely, with the spoon and fork, twirling it and everything, and then, with a big foolish grin, said, this is so proper...don't you ever just want to cut itnwith a knife and eat it? he was so cute, with the sauce dripping on his chin, that i knew right then

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I knew he was the one when I first met him, my dad had a heart attack shortly after and he stayed in the hospital with me all night and helped my dad by cleaning him up in the hospital and helping him change his clothes. To do that for someone you barely know is something else!

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I think I knew it before I consciously realized...I wrote this poem and it didn't hit me until I read it after that it was about him!It went along the lines of...'in my mind when it wanders, in all thoughts in which I squander...does he feel the same way, as I wonder...should I say?'

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I knew when one night in college, we went out to a club with our friends. The place was a mob scene, the music was so lound we couldn't even hear each other, but we were dancing together, and I swear, I felt like there was no one else in the place but the two of us. At that moment I knew, I just had this feeling that we were connected together. That was four years ago, and we're getting married now in 7 1/2 months. Time flies when you're with the one you love!

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
We had just started dating right before my 30th birthday. He heard me jopking with a friend that I would only marry someone that could give me a 3 karat ring. When he asked what I wanted for my birthday I joked that I had always wanted a pony. Well, he shows up at my job on bd with this huge bag. In it was a pony doll and 3 carrots tied together in a bow (plus some beautiful jewelry). Right there I knew he was it!!!

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
We had met at Jillian's one night. When I first saw him, his eyes locked with mine and thought there was some kind of spark. My friend who I was with had said that he had really liked me. Since then we have been together ever since. So I guess it was love at first sight.

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I knew He was the one when, we were dating for 6 monthes. We went camping and I called my father the sunday we were coming home. FI got on the phone with my Dad and my dad said 'take care of my little girl' A few hours later my Dad had a massive heart attack and passed away. The next days after , during the funeral Bill had told me this story with tears in his eyes, and I knew right there that he would live up tp his promise...

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I don't recall a defining moment when I knew he was the one, but I do recall a 'moment'. It was during our first date and we had just gotten out of the car to walk up to a bar in Huntington. While walking, he grabbed my hand. I can't explain it, but it felt great.
I don't normally let guys hold my hand, especially on the first date. I was always known as a tough girl/hard a*s (whatever you want to call it), but my FH just had such a warm and comfortable grip that it melted my heart. It was 6 months later when I realized how much I loved him.

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
I always feel silly that I met my FH at a club/bar but I did go home that night and tell my mother I had met the man I was going to marry, i just knew, it was love at first sight.Oh yeah and I have psoriasis on my elbows which is always so embarrassing and ugly for me and as i was talking about it one day he kissed my elbow and said i think your elbows are beautiful, guess it sounds cheesy but I dont know many people who would do that, he is one in a million and he loves me depite my many flaws.

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
Tarakinspa don't feel so bad b/c I met FH at a club too!Actually I had gotten back from studying abroad and our friends wanted to hook us up so they could hang out together and when I saw him-not realizing till after the club closed that he was the hook up guy, I knew there was something there. We saw each other from across the room. I just had a weird feeling. When we finally 'met' outside we talked on a stoop next to the club for hours. I knew right after that and we have been together ever since. So in a sense we do thank our friends for trying but eventually we would have met. Plus there have been many coincedences in our past where we were in clubs and bars at the same time and never met. And even more weirder is the fact that our friends got married and we are tying the knot soon!

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
my mother knew before I did. The first night she met he she knew. We met on accident through a mutual friend. He played a joke on us, He told me that my FI liked me and he told my FI I liked him (we never said that). And now we tease him about what he started.I knew he was the one on our second date. He took me to a concert at Jones beach in the pouring rain and we had a great time.

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
Early in our friendship, i always thought we would be great for one another. As our frinedship grew we noticed that we were seeing the same type of peope(all the wrong ones), so we hooked up and are extremely happy. But I knew I really loved him when I told him of a medical condition I had, scared to death to tell him, and when I did he accepted it and he told me it didn't matter. He accepted me for everything I am.

Re: How did you know HE was the ONE
We were in law school together, and we had already been dating for a while. He wanted to go out one night, and I told him that I couldn't go, because I had to study that night. It was winter, and a snowstorm had hit the day before. We had garden apartments, and they were on the ground floor, so as I was studying, a friend of mine ran into my apartment, telling me that He was outside my window. Sure enough, I peeked out, and there he was, building me a huge snowman, ever so slowly, and ever so meticulously. It took him almost two hours to make, and he was out there, in the freezing cold, making sure it was just right. And, he made sure it faced my window. He didn't know, but I was watching him the whole time. My friend told me 'that boy loves you!', and instantly my heart knew that he was the one. Sounds stupid, but isn't it always the 'stupid' things that matter in life anyway?Welcome New Vendors
