I think I might have found it...(CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT>>>IRRITATING MYSELF!)
BUT, I only tried on about 12 or so. I feel like I should look at least a little more...

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I'm still looking - but when my mom was dress shopping for her wedding, she bought the FIRST one she tried on. My aunts told her to try on some more, so she tried on two more and that was that. She also only paid 100 dollars for it If I found a 100 dollar dress, I'd be sold lol

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I actually had three 'the ones'. The first two I loved, but I chose the third because of the bridal shop. The people that worked at the first two shops weren't even close to as nice to me and my family as the last one was, which is where I ended up with my dress!! (does that make sense?) I think that you could really like more than one dress, you just have to choose one that you can really SEE yourself in, and the one that makes you feel the most beautiful!

Well, if you can't stop thinking about it, then it's probably the one. As my friend said to me, 'So what you only tried on a handful of dresses? If you only dated a handful of guys and met JT, would you still keep looking?' I said, good point , and here I am, too far away from my wedding date to have a dress, but I do!

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I tried on about 15-20 and the one that keep sticking in my head is the one I bought. If you keep thinking about it, it is probably the one. I was too confused because I tried on so many. I kept comparing the dresses to the one that stuck in my head so I got the one that was stuck in my mind. Good Luck!!

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I tried on about 30 dresses. We only had 2 days to do it in, because my mom lives out of state and was visiting just for the weekend. The ONE was the 2nd on I tried on, and I couldn't stop thinking about it as I tried on all the other ones, so that was that. As it turns out, it was the only dress that FH had picked for me to try on too. He's so proud of himself!

I too agree that if I keep thinking about it, chances are it might just be the one!!! I cannot wait to go and try it on again...
I am going to one other place tonight, just to satisfy my curiosity (plus, trying on the dresses is so much fun!)
I guess if I keep comparing all the dresses to 'the one' ~ then there is my answer!!!

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I've found 2 'the one's'...and still haven't bought. I've tried on 40-50 dresses...to no avail. My problem is being able to use my (rather creative!) imagination to see what the size 10-16 dress will look like in my size (2). It's been hard.
I'd say if you can't stop thinking about it...go back and try it on again. If you still love it, go for it! Good luck!!!

See my problem is everytime I shop I find a dress I really like - then when I shop again I find one I like even better - Now I have two dresses I really love and don't know which one to get

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I had similar experiences as those above...I tried on about 40 dresses (no joke) and found 6 or so that all could have been 'the one'. In the end I went with a very simple dress for my beach wedding and one that was in the middle of the price scale.
But it is true, if you try on too many, you may wind up confusing yourself! Go with a dress that makes you feel beautiful and that fits in with the place you are getting married (castle vs. beach vs. golf course). Hopefully that nakes sense!

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
BE patient...I tried on a lot the first time I went and LOVED ALMOST ALL OF THEM... Then one rainy day I decided to pop into the local bridal store - LIDIA'S...The FIRST dress I pulled out to look at have butterflies on it...I had to try it on. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. I waited 3 months before I ordered....I knew it was the one when each time I saw it I am mezmorized into staring at it. I would have been devistated if it was discontinuted and I didn't order it.
You'll find 'the one'

I tried on 4 dresses and when I put the 4th one on, I just knew that it was the dress. I could not stop thinking about it and I found the designer and the picture of it on the website and could not wait to show everyone. When you find 'the one', you just know that the dress is the one that you have been looking for.

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I had tried on about 20 dresses, and it was the last one I tried. When I looked in the mirror, I started crying. I knew it was 'the one'...

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
The first dress that I tried on - I feel in love with until I saw the price tag (just couldnt justify the price - way too much). So th search continued...
I tried on atleast 60 - 70 dresses....not even joking. I was comparing them all to the first dress. Finally after two months of trying dresses on, and I went everywhere. Manhattan, Queens, Nassau...I went shopping by mysef and found my dress...
But as much as I thought it was nice I wasnt sure if it looked good on me, so brought step-mother to see dress. It was the one..
Not that there arent plenty of other dresses that I would love to try on, especially now. I was looking for a simple dress with lace, but had a difficult time trying to find something like that. Now they seem to be all over the place.

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I don't remember how many I tried on at this point. But I cried when I had on 'the' dress and I looked at myself. I knew but still wasn't sure. So my search continued and I kept comparing every dress to the 'crying dress' as FH calls it. Finally I went back to Lillettes and tried it on again and I knew it was the one. I started getting emotional again!

Re: How did you know which dress was 'the one'???
I tried on about 12 dresses befoir my first Kleinfeld Sample Sale Appontment. There I found 'the One' However, I went to the appt. alone and my sales woman was not the least bit helpful, so I left with out buying. In 4 weeks ithey were having another sampl sale and I went with my mom and sister and 'the Dress' was still there! (It was in such small size, nobody else could fit into it, I think.) This time my sales woman was a sweetheart and very understanding, and with my mom and my sister there I was full of confidence and was absulutely sure this time that this was the dress and we bought it! I really hope those women work for commisions!
