I was working in a restaurant during college and he came in on his first day of work...I took one look at him and I said to myself immediately that I will marry him....without even talking to him!!! I never understood how people could say that until it happened to me!

Tara I love your story too (fellow Yankee Fan here). So I guess you guys have been dating a while if O'Neill was still at bat. Remember when he use to throw temper tantrums on the plate??!!!! Ah......the good old days!!

we actually met by chance. he is friends with my best friends sister and we met at a fair that we both were not supposed to be at ! it was fate, he is my soul mate

We initially met in law school 8 years ago. We dated but he didn't want to be serious. We did this for a few years. I broke up with him and had a really serious boyfriend for 3 years and then broke up with him for my FH 2 years ago. It's been a long bumpy road but we finally got it right

I decided to lose weight in 2005 and joined Weight Watchers, where I made friends with a family friend (at the time) of FH. She asked if I wanted to meet a gorgeous accountant, but even after losing 100 lbs., I wasn't sure if my self-esteem was up for it. She told me he had lost 75lbs., himself and I gave her my number..he was nervous and didn't call for 2 weeks, in which case it all started with a 4 hour conversation and many more to follow..we realized we had some parallels in our lives and now we are both marrying our first long-term relationships and all!

-chuckles- seems we're not original. We met on Match.Com almost 4 years ago. I actually contacted him on a dare ( I thought he was too hot to be interested in me) but alas he was. He sent me a 5 page form letter (he told me he sent the same letter to every 'prospect' listing evertyhing good and bad about him and all the reasons he was a good guy but not necessarily a great catch. It amused me so I write back a 6 page letter listing every fault I had.

A day later I got a response. He wanted me to call him but Iaamde him chase me for about 2 weeks via email and then we started talking. We made and broke dates (well I broke dates because I was nervous) like 3 times before we finally met. The rest is soon-to-be-wedded history!

Scott and I met when two mutual friends asked us both to join a softball team..... He played 3rd, I played first....the team was horrible, but it obviously worked in my favor!!
