i hear that! Me 3!

Went to see a Grateful Dead cover band at a local bar with my brother Craig. He happened to bump into Darren, ( they went to High School togther ). I kept asking my brother who he was, cause I found him soooooo attractive. Finally my brother introduced us, and the rest is history!! And here I am

We worked at Friendly's together. I was on my way out (got a new job- Red Lobster--moving up in the world) and he was just starting. He was still in HS, I was a freshman in college. I found him annoying and SOOO not my type. Long story short: I was mean to him, he was persistant- He Won!

7 years later- Marriage

He works with one of my friends from college. My friend kept telling me that he had a great guy for me for like a year and he wanted to set us up but for some reason I kept putting it off. Finally I agreed to meet him. We had a double date which I almost cancelled b/c I was annoyed that the meeting time kept getting pushed back (FH was taking time off from work to go out and things kept preventing him from leaving). After the date, when we were alone and getting ready to leave he thought I didn't like him b/c I kept chewing his ear off, yakking and yakking and then just gave him a hug goodbye. Ha! Little did he know!

It was the one and only time I'd ever let my friend set me up so now all he says is, 'I did good, right?' He takes full credit for our relationship.

few years b4 i met mike i was on my way home from work. on the side of the pkwy he was outta the truck hosein it down . i drove by him & almost crashed my car .. I was like whoaaaa . then i spotted the name of the cement truck, Turns out a good friend of mine at the time worked for the same company . I called my friend & was like what the heck , your holding out on me . I wanna know who is the hottie is on the pkwy, . My friend knew my taste & was like it has 2 b mike , buts 4 get it he is married..

Oh well , went on my way ..

about 2 years later , my neighbors were getting a circular driveway put in & i had just pulled up from work . The cement company people were doing the work & I spotted one guy who was cute , but didnt thibk much of it.

Next day I wake up , look out my window & the same truck that i saw on the side of the pkwy that day way back is outside pourin cement nextdoor. Im like no way is it 'that guy ' ...

But to me , 'that guy ' was still mariied.

I go to leave to go on my dads boat & as i drive away he jumps in front of my car to stop me.. He is like are you toni & I said yes, he says im mike, so & so's friend. ( so & so is my friend) .. I was floored. Mike was the guy on the side of the parkway that day , EXCEPT thsi time by now he was divorced...

The rest is history !!!

friends (at the time) were hanging out one saturday night....i was suppossed to go on a blind date and he had to cancel....i was gonna stay home but friend said i had to come and keep her company out with her boyfriend and his friends....and so i finally decided to go and we met in the car on our way to q-zar (lazer tag in glen cove...lolol....we were 17!)...we didnt play and we talked and held hands all night.....we both said that we never felt so comfortable with someone we just met ever!....guess it was meant to be...together 12 yrs in march...

THAT STORY IS GREAT!!!!!

I had just graduated from Salisbury, had just moved back home and decided I wanted to be single for awhile. My sister had a different plan in mind. At the time Matt lived in Kings Park with a mutual friend of her sisters, Guy. Who had also watched me grow up. So to make a long story short my sister was going behind Matt & I's backs pretending that this person said this about the other one. I was not having it though because I had just graduated and needed to settle back into living at home, finding a job, all that great stuff you go through after leaving the best four years of your life. So at my sister & I's graduation party Matt & his friend Rob stopped by just to say hello. We were both to nervous to talk to one another, so we just smiled & waved. Without any hesitation when Matt left, two of my closests friends ( & bridesmaids) Chrissie & Marci both turned to me at the literally the same time flat out was like 'WHY wouldn't you date him, he's so cute & seems really nice' So finally to literally shut everyone up, I gave MAtt my # said yes to one date and ever since Sept. of 03' we've been going strong. Who knew!

He was the bartender at a bar I used to go to with my then boyfriend and another couple, but then me and some girlfriends started going there solo and I felt a connection, but it was innocent flirting, so I thought!! After several months of this, things between me and other guy started going down hill and I didn't really care, so as that ended my girls and I started becoming permanent fixtures in the bar and one of my GF's mom sugested me and FH go to dinner, we have been together ever since!!!

Also online- but turns out we went to the same college and never met there! I also went to camp with his cousins when I was 12. Guess we were destined to meet!

I love hearing these stories!!! Tonimike, that is such an awesome story!

I think my story is totally silly, but totally fate! We met online - but not through a match site!

Literally a few months before I started 'chatting' with FH, I was on the subway and listening to Bon Jovi and thinking, wouldn't it be nice to meet a guy who loved the Yankees, would go to games with me, and AT LEAST tolerate Bon Jovi enough to go to concerts with me?

Well....in October the Yankees were in the playoffs. I was still in a Bon Jovi phase. So I would post to this fan club website www.backstagejbj.com to pass the time at temp jobs. I was at some playoff games and when Paul O'Neill came up to bat, and I noticed they played 'Keep the Faith' by Bon Jovi. So I posted a lame message to the site asking if Paul O'Neill was a Bon Jovi fan (he totally is, because we've seen him at tons of shows!). Miles away in Georgia, FH was posting to the same website. He noticed the post, and clicked on my profile and sent me an email- he wanted to talk baseball. And yes, he happened to be a Bon Jovi fan. I thought, okay, this guy is not normal. But we had fun talking baseball and I didn't think anything of it- he was in Georgia, I was in NY.

Well time went on, we'd chat about more personal things. I saw his picture and almost fainted underneath my desk- didn't want him to be CUTE too!!! Well once we saw each other's pics it got way flirtatious, we moved to the phone...would talk for 5-6 hours. We finally decided to meet officially about 5 months later. He was originally from NJ anyway, so he wanted to come visit his friends and meet me...and see Yankee games of course. Well, that first weekend we met there was no doubt...and we kept a long distance relationship for about 2 years until he moved back to NJ about 3 years ago!!

Such a wacky story! But no doubt about it, it was fate!

ETA: and since then FH has made me become totally SICK of Bon Jovi!! hahaha!!! He's a bigger fan than I am!!!
