So.. How did you meet your FH? I met mine on an internet dating service and I think it is crazy that it worked out!

Here's the story: I was dating this jerk on and off for 6 years! Then there was the day that I was just done with it. My mother is like try an internet site- you'll go on a date or two and who knows. I was cheap and was like no- I am not spending 25 bucks to email someone! So she signed me up! I email 3 people, he was the only reply back. It was the day before xmas eve. We talked online for a few days and met on Jan. 2nd. It wasnt love at first site. i wasnt sure if I even wanted a second date. But we dated casually for a month or so and then it turned out that he was just my perfect match. Everything I was searching for and more! Funny how life works.

So: how did you meet!?!?

Had a disasterous break-up last december..

and by about March decided I had to try internet dating or risk being alone forever.

So, I went out with a few wierdos from the internet..one guy was MARRIED!! and then FH messaged me...we spoke online for 3 days, then he called me and we made a date for the following week. We spoke constantly after that first awkward convo. I kinda knew when we were just talkin on the phone that it would be special. So we made a dinner date for the following friday but by thursday we couldn't wait..so we met up for coffee and it was LOVE. (kinda gay i know). we went out every single night after that. 8 weeks later we were engaged.

We knew each other for a year through mutual friends and wound up at a luau together. He had a few drinks, grabbed me and we started making out and we've been together ever since. Once in awhile we run into people from the luau and they r shocked we r still together---every1 thought it was a drunken hook-up.

and by about March decided I had to try internet dating or risk being alone forever.

So, I went out with a few wierdos from the internet..one guy was MARRIED!! and then FH messaged me...we spoke online for 3 days, then he called me and we made a date for the following week. We spoke constantly after that first awkward convo. I kinda knew when we were just talkin on the phone that it would be special. So we made a dinner date for the following friday but by thursday we couldn't wait..so we met up for coffee and it was LOVE. (kinda gay i know). we went out every single night after that. 8 weeks later we were engaged.

8 weeks later! wow... that is great.

OMG mine is sooo simliar --- i had a bad break up december 2006 - was dating here and there trying to keep myself together- signed up for sympatia.pl (polish websitelike match.com) went on a couple of dates with weirdos and my FH started writing to me around end of Feb... and I thought probably another wierdo but he finally convinceed me to hang out 3/28/07 --- and 7/28 he proposed ----- 4 months later....
And here we are planning our wedding....

We met at work. Verizon Phoneman/Phonegirl :o)
He took my BF out on a date, they were complete opposites. She said he totally was not her type but completely mine. Weeks later he came into my office. He was so tan and muscular, all the girls wanted him. But I had to have him. I knew even before he spoke he was the one I would marry.

Wow, similar stories! That's crazy. At least now when I tell my story and ppl say we're crazy..I can say 'hey, gabbie did the same thing!' hahaha. We should be adds for these dating services, so much better stories than the stupid match.com commericals.

Combo of work and internet. I was a longtime fan of eharm.com and some other dating sites b/c I just could not seem to find the right guy local. Most had some huge hole in them somewhere or just didn't suit my personality.

Our PT clinic and gym had a golf simulator that was supposed to be this great revenue generator, and totally wasn't. I was responsible for marketing and later selling the machine to make space and better ideas to bring revenue into the clinic. After months of advertising and trying to move machine I was a little bitter about golf in general.

I just happened to log on to a dating website I was a member of and saw this guys user name as GOLFNUTZ. I seriously only msg'ed him to kinda pick a fight about golf and golfing in general.!!!!!! His emails were so laid back and soothing, even in general chit chat, that I continued to talk to him.

3 years later we are getting married! Told him the story he totally

I knew one FH's roommate's since I was little, his sister was my childhood friend (and is also one of my bm's). So we went to a party at their house and FH and I were set up as beer pong partners. The rest is history.

We met at the most embarrassing bar ever...if you know the hofstra area!!!...i was going out to celebrate my 18th birthday...his friend and my friend started talking and then i started talking with him....we exchanged numbers and i rememer the first time he called me...i was sitting at lunch my senior year and i answered and he said 'you are in school ur no suppose to answer i was suppose to leave you a surprise voicemail!' then he didnt know wat to say bc he didnt expect me to answer!!hahah..and the rest is history!!!
