We met in college. He lived across the hall from me my freshman year. We were friends at first, but we became inseparable before long.

This is so sad...we don't know how or when we met!
A girl I went to elementary school with was dating him in HS (more than 10 years ago), so I guess we met then.
Later on, through the years, we became friends and then very good friends and he started developing feelings. I was HORRIFIED, but decided to give it a shot in January of 2000. And here we are...
Since we don't remember when we met, it's like we've always known one another!!

Through Love@AOL. He answered an ad I had placed. Two weeks later we went out after hours of phone calls and we have been together ever since. I have to admit that I cherish every moment and am glad he came into my life.

I met FH at a party, at the time, at my current boyfriends house! They were both in the Coast Guard but stationed at different places. We just hit it off immediately. A few weeks later I broke up with the other guy and FH and I have been together ever since!

We met at work...he 'stalked' me (running joke) for a few months - I was with someone else...that someone else & I broke up and a week later FH & I bumped into one another in the copy room...we chatted - later that day I sent him an email inviting him out for drinks the following week...which later changed into a night in Manhattan...which later turned into a weekend-long date and 6+ years later...here we are.

We were the pioneers of internet dating back in 1997. We met in a 20 something chatroom. What started out as penpal/internet buddies blossomed into romance. I never thought in a million years that I would meet someone online. By the way,I was living in TX and he was living here. Three months after chatting on line, I came to NY to visit! ( i did a background check, I'm not a total nut!) We had a long distance relationship for over a 1 and then I decided to move here since I was in between jobs. We've been together nearly 6 years and living in sin for about 4 years! So it was about time he popped the Question!! I love him with all my heart! Thank God for Technology otherwise I would never met him in this life time.

I was abou 13 and my and my friend used to sit on steps that were across the street from FI house. Myy friend knew him since she was little, so technically I met him through her! We didn't start dating unitl I was 17

We met in 1999 at this place in NYC called Drip. It's a coffee bar, but they have this thing where you can fill out a profile about yourself & you can pick somebody or they can pick you, and it's pretty cheap. They arrange it for you, and you have to meet there. My friend had told me about it, she read an article about it in the NY Times. I never really did anything like this, never went to chat rooms or mixers or anything, but I figured 'why not?' And, luckily I did it! This past May 16th (at our one-year mark to our wedding) we went back there & had some coffee & cake!

no really we met at band camp. I was a student conductor for the jazz band & he played the trumpet. We went through JH & HS together, & were friends on & off since. We got together 4 years ago, after a very cool trip to London & while learning how to swing dance for our friend's wedding.

I was going on a cruise with a girl I went to high school with, her fiance and a bunch of there friends. I didnt know any of them because her FH was from Queens and we were from LI. Anyway, I was going out with someone at the time, but things were really rocky with us. My FH happened to be in the group of people we were with. Well one night my ex went to bed early and I was with everyone, my and my FH went off and starting talking it was all inocent. When I came back to my room my ex flipped out and we got into a huge fight. I told him he was better off if he left the boat and I was changing my room and he ok (he didn't believe me) I went to the front desk on the boat and explained that I couldnt stay in the room with him (he had a bad temper) and they gave me another room for free and then went to dinner. I came back and packed my stuff and left. I came to find out after I arrived at JFK airport with no way to get home because my ex canceled car service on me that he actually left the boat. On the way home i called my FH and we have been together ever since. Whats funny is that we are both croatian, my father and his uncle play soccer together and my fh neighbor and my grandmother know each other! Its such a small world.

e used to hang out with the same crowd, but never really spoke to one another, he had a girlfriend i had a boyfriend. I never spoke to him cause I couldn't stand him, I thought he was the biggest jerk! I was also really close friends with his cousin, who dated my friend at the time(i was like 16) We had both broken up w/ our other flings, and one night his cousin and my friend were going out, but i was by her house. He pulled up with his cousin whom he knew i hated.. the four of us hung out, that night we got back to her house and her telephone rings at like an hour later, he called to get some info about me from her and din't know i was there.. After we spoke he'd call me every single night after that. My friend and his cousin broke up. About two weeks later we started seeing each other..we are now together 7 years!!

we met when i was in highchool, senior year and he was introduced through mutual friends. we became good friends over the years and were both dating other people for a while. about 3 years later, we happened to go through break ups around the same time and started to hang out alot for companionship and comfort. the rest is history. from friends, to best friends and lovers. happilly together for five years now! we were always meant for eachother!!

We met at The Cat's Meow in Smithtown. My girlfriend and his best friend work together and sometimes go to Happy Hour after. I met up with my friend and he did the same. They met people there and we ended up talking to each other, etc. etc.etc.

We met in law school, my first year and his last year. I used to look at him in the hall but didn't think he would go for me bc he was the best looking guy at school and was always well dressed(I thought so anyway ) and I used to goto school dressed like a total slob. One day I was walking to my car and he was walking towards me and asked me if I was going to happy hour after school. I said no, and when he asked why I said I lived too far (didn't tell him the REAL reason was bc I had a BF and was supposed to see him after school). Anyway he says 'you can't live further than me, I live in X town'. I said ummmm I live in X town too! We live in the same town but didn't know it bc we both went to private high schools......anyway that night when I called my BF I told him I wasn't happy and we should take a break. He happy obliged! I then started carpooling with FH, then dating and the rest, as they say, is history! Turns out he was also looking at me in the hall, and didn't think I'd go for him....

One week before I met my FH me and the girls went to Zachary's, as we are pullin ginto the parking lot one girl sai this is where everyone meats theri husbands...i laughed it off and said I 'd nerver date anyone I met in a club. Well... We met at Zachary's the night of my sister's bachelorette party 4 years ago this month. We saw each other as we were walking into the club. When we walked in we seperated I didn't see him for a while..then when I was dancing on the speaker I saw him on the other side of the dance floor. We both called each other over, stuborn as we both are, we both didn't want to walk over to the other, so we met in the middle of the dance floor and danced for a while. We went over to sit for and started talking. We really hit it off, my best friend thoufght we had met before...we just clicked that night... and here we are... And I said I'd never date anyone I met in a club, i guess my frien was right...

We met at St. John's University. I was a graduate assistant and gave all the computers' viruses. He was a computer technician and had to fix all my disasters.....it was a love-hate relationship!

On V-day 2002 my girlfriend dragged me out for a drink cuz she was miserable with her bf...her bf dragged his best friend out for some cheering up since he had just buried his grandma that day (I also confiscated the cell phone and begged him not to leave me alone with the two 'lovebirds')...well...at teh corner table of Applebee's those two were fighting and we ended up in our own little world....that was a Thurs., that Fri was a movie (he held my hand), that Sat he came over to my parents to watch a movie and late night olympics when we had our first kiss (and I got a set of Olympic dressed Hallmark kiss-kiss bears a few days later), and Sunday we hung out at his house for another video. That Monday night he asked me if he could call me his girlfriend......we've been together ever since (except for a short break around the 6 month mark)...so we truly believe that his grandma wanted use to meet that day and that we are destined to be together...... We met on Love@AOL in October, 2001. I posted an ad and he replied. I lived in Nassau County and he was living in Suffolk. Turns out we grew up in the same town and went to the same H.S. but never knew each other. I played softball with his sister and had common friends and favorite hang outs...who knew? We had our first date October 12, 2001, got engaged July 29, 2003 and we're getting married October 31, 2004. I definitely believe in fate now!
