How did you meet your FH?

I met FH through a very good friend from college. It was my friend's 30th bday and we were all out celebrating at a club in Manhattan. I was a little on the inebriated side, but managed to dance up a storm with him. He asked for my phone #, but I gave him my pager and work #. He says he paged me the next day (Sat.), but I wouldnt know b/c my beeper was not working. Then he called me at work on Mon. We chatted on the phone a couple of times and went out about 2 weeks later, after I had enough time to get the 411 on him from my friend. He called the day after our first date to go out that night, I couldnt, but we made plans and pretty much hit it off and have been inseperable since then.

Three years ago, my company transferred me from the NYC office to Johannesburg South Africa. My FI just started work at the company the week I transferred. he was dating someone and I wasn't lookng to date. Soon after we met - he broke up with his girlfriend and we became friends. We started dating and because it was way too dangerous to drive home at night (seriously), he moved in with me 2 weeks after we started dating.

A year and a half later, I came home and he followed 8 months later. He's now getting his MBA here in NYC and we're getting married next summer. We live together and have now been together for 3 years. The different cultures are tough to deal with sometimes but he's a great person.

My only hope is that we can live here in NYC after the wedding. He may have to go back to South Africa and I don't want to go. It's so dangerous and I wouldn't be able to work there.

We met in High School. He was a boy that my friend had a huge crush on. This was when I was in ninth grade and he was a senior. Ever since then we were friends.
It wasn't untill I was 19 and he was 22 that we started to date each other.
Now three years later we are getting married

He had a group of friends that were in a band and went to my highschool. A couple of the guys in the band had a thing for me. They asked me to hang out and my Fh showed up. I wanted nothing to do with the other guys as soon as i saw him and told my best friend he was the man I was going to marry. After we hung out I found out he was 19 and I was 15 and he wanted nothing to do with me. He said I was too young and he didn't want to date someone in high school. He called me though and we became very good friends. When he finally decided he liked me I was at college and made him wait his turn. We didn't start fating until I was 19 and he was 23.
