How did you meet your FH

We met in high school our 1st year :) we have been together ever since <3<3

He stalked me outside where we lived until I gave in.

I am a firm believer in 'everything happens for a reason' especially when I think of how me and my FH met.

I got kicked outta my first High School after freshman year. When I transferred soph. Year to a co-ed school he was a senior. I knew all his close friends, and was even invited to the same parties that he was at, however not once that year did we meet. YEARS later during Valentine's Day weekend we bumped into each other at a bar in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and have been together since (6 years this past feb) we joke about what would have happened if we did meet during h.s.

FH is originally from Copiague, and I'm from Massapequa. In 1997 his family moved to Charleston, SC. I had mentioned this once before on the boards... but I was an '08 bride! I actualy moved to Charleston right before my wedding in '08 because my ex was doing a residency at a hospital down there. The marriage started to quickly go to hell (he was verbally abusive).

In the mean time, I started my new job at CVS and FH trained me! We quickly became friends, since we had so much in common... especially both being from Long Island. He was there for me while my marriage ended, and helped me through the separation and divorce. Eventually our friendship grew into an amazing love. I couldn't imagine my life without him! In June of 2010 we moved back to Long Island.

So even though we grew up 2 towns apart on Long Island, we had to travel to a different state to finally find each other!

FH and I met in Mexico 3yrs b/f we started dating. His parents and my mom are from the same town in Mexico. So every summer I would go down there and spend my summer vacation out there. One summer my cousin introduced me to him and we said Hi and Bye and thats it. 3 years later FH came to live to NY and we would randomly see eachother at parties and say Hi and Bye but that's it. One day out the blue i started getting calls from a 'secret admirer'. I don't know what it was about this guy that even though I had no idea who he was, I would still talk to him and laugh and be on the phone for hours. Well 2 months later I found out my secret admirer was FH but I would go along with the calls eventhough he thought I didnt know. Well finally at 3 months he revealed his identity and I told him I knew all along!!!!!!!! Once he wanted to make things official I was hesistant b/c he is 3 yrs younger than me. He kept insisting and after much thinking I decided to give him a chance. And 6 years 9 months later, he still makes my heart skip a beat for him and we are plannning our wedding!!!!!!

hahha.. me and my fh first tried seeing eachother in 7th grade.. then we didnt talk until 10th (i hated him inbetween ) Then one night i was leaving mcdonalds parking lot with my friends and at this MINI VAN infront of me wouldnt move. We went around and next thing you know this car is following us and cutting us off. Then we lost them and i got a call from my mom saying 'he called my house and asked for my #- i was like *** why lol) Turns out him and his friends were the ones messing with us... Weve been together ever since. Ive known his sister since we were little tho. Weriddd how things work out

match girls- me and Fh have been dyingggggg to put my friend up there he said no lol (hopefully me and leelou48 can match our friendsss lol)

We met on match.com. the funny part is fh wasn't on there to find a relationship. He just wanted to meet new girls. I almost backed out of going on our first date since I had never met anyone from match at that point. But im glad I went. We had an amazing first date and we just clicked off the bat and I really felt that night that he was the one. Crazy!

I think everyone who is single (and wants to be in a relationshio) should try match. I think one you are done with college there is no easy way to meet people. Match lets you get to know a person a little before you even decide to contact them.

I just realized this is a very old post and I didnt finish reading through it did I already post my story? oh well I'll keep it short.

We met on match.com on a Sunday, planned a date for Thursday, but were too excited so we met on Wednesday. Saw eachother every day for 2 weeks at which point we started going steady. The rest is history.

I agree, I think people just need to have realistic expectations. I never expected to meet the love of my life online, I was just doing it to meet people and for fun. I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong!

I agree! I was sick of meeting people out at bars and seeing the same people every night I went out. It's a great site and really lets you meet people from all over. I just never thought I'd meet the boy I'm gonna marry.

I was on there for a couple months & I had no luck! I honestly felt like a piece of meat :( Just my opinion!

We met online on plentyoffish. I had no luck with match or eharmony and was unemployed so went the cheap route
