How did you meet your FH

I went to a Dave Matthews Band concert in Hershey, PA almost 9 years ago. My friend and I accidentally sat in the wrong 2 seats which belonged to my FH and his best friend (who will also be the best man at our wedding)! FH told us to stay in the seats and we all just squeezed together! We hit it off right away and talked the entire concert!

I gave FH my number and about a week later he called me. We were in a long distance relationship for 5 years until I finally decided to move to LI!! It was the best decision I ever made!

Last year we went back to Hershey to see another DMB concert which is where FH proposed! Steady As We Go is going to be our first dance song (by DMB). It has a lot of meaning behind it!

I really believe that things happen for a reason! What if I would have sat in my correct seat that day.....

I met my FH on Plentyoffish.com, hence my user name today. I had been on Jdate, Match, and a few other sites over the years. When I met FH, I almost did not reply to his initial email bc his location said 'new york' and I was against meeting anyone in the city bc I live in Babylon area.

Turns out he lives right on the Queens/Nassau border and everything has worked out really well... obviously! lol

PS I am totally thinking of You and Me for our 1st dance, but am unsure if the speed is right for a slowish dance.

I met FH in the 6th grade. Never really talked to him in middle school especially since he was shy and barely talked to anybody. When 8th grade rolled around his friends tried to get me to go to the prom with him. They said he would pay for my dress, limo, etc. He sounded like he was made of money I said no because he was too shy and I wanted to have fun at my prom. All the guys were saying that I broke his heart.

Freshman year of college we met again briefly because he owned a computer store and my friend needed to buy something. I honestly thought that he might be pissed at me for not going to the prom with him so I kind of kept my distance because you know how some guys hold grudges.

Senior year of college my engagement with my ex was called of. After some heartbreak I decided it was time to hang out and celebrate that I was graduating. A friend from elementary friended me on myspace and wanted to hang out with me and FH. So while FH friend was trying to get with me I finally fell for FH.

Turns out he never knew that his friends tried to get me to go to prom with him.

We met at a bar. I always said 'Youll never meet anyone serious at a bar.' And so when he asked for my number at the end of the night, I said no (LOL) but he was persistent and found me on facebook (we had talked about our mutual friends) so I gave in! and I'm glad i did!!!!

but i met FH at a bar through friends ..
an ex-friend got into a fight with her bf at the time .. so the two of us went to meet some of her guy friemds.. fh being one of them ... <3
so funny bc i ALWAYS said your not gonna find quality in a hole in the wall bar .....

I met Chris at a bar in Bethpage, a small towny bar, Whoville. If any of you are from Bethpage, you know this is an old man bar haha. I was 19 and my friend and I ended up there, late one night after going out and he was there with his friends, And as they all say, the rest is history. He's not from Bethpage, but for some reason went there every Thursday night with the guys he works with.

Like the rule goes, he called me two days later and we went out that week.

And 6 years later we're getting married!! Just pretty funny how things work out : )

I think everyone who is single (and wants to be in a relationshio) should try match. I think one you are done with college there is no easy way to meet people. Match lets you get to know a person a little before you even decide to contact them.

i was on there for a bit before i met FH too. no luck!!! but hey, i think that's because i was met to meet my FH so that's how my cards got dealt ya know? :)

I met FH while walking in NYC during Fleetweek. tried to get rid of him (figured he was there for one thing haha) and we ran into each other on a different street 15 minutes later...so it was fate and he wound up being so persistent. i'm glad he was!!

I was working at a tinny record label and trying to book local shows for one of our bands. I messaged his band on myspace asking if they would like to play a show with the band I was working with. He was the one who wrote me back! The rest is history =)

We met online. After our first date he immediately said he would love to go on a second date. I was amazed by his straight forward approach. But I wasn't sure... So I went on a second date after two weeks and that was IT! On our second date I thought he was so cute and sweet. I'm glad we went out a second time! Just over a year later here we are planning our wedding!

at a bar! ha! and people say it can't be done---he was creepily staring at me from the other side of the place and his friend happened to be dating my BFF's cousin. So i was like Mike's friend is staring at me.... He's lucky I was drunk or the staring would have creeped me out. Now I just make fun of him for it
