Did you go and try them on to see what you like? or did you decide on how you are wearing your hair first and then pick a headpiece based on that? I'm having a hard time deciding if I want a comb, tiara, headband, etc....
Thanks ladies

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I always thought I'd have a tiara but people are telling me they are not as trendy as they used to be. I think I'm going to check out Barrons in Tri-County for a hairpiece. Headbands seem to be the trendy option but I find them to be uncomfortable and leave dents in my hair.

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I had my hair trial and figured out how I was wearing it first...then found one online! Although you could absolutely do it the other way around

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
Sometimes the bridal salons with have headpiece shows and you are able to try on your dress and sample different headpieces and veils, some vendors will even style your hair for you so you can get the whole look. I know Bridal Reflections has a head piece show. You should ask if the shop that you purchased your dress at does this. HTH!

I looked at Macy's they said you could borrow a piece for your trial to see if you like it!

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I think it might be easier to figure out your hairstyle first then decide on the headpiece.
I always pictured myself with a thin headband and my hair half up/half down. Since I always do the half and half for all occasions I decided to do something different for my wedding . I will wear my hair up for the wedding and I am borrowing my SILs headpiece.

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I bought a regular headband that I thought was so pretty, because I kind of got cought up in the moment of it, even though I knew I wanted a ribbon headband. I went to Barrons - they have so many to chose from - and bought a ribbon headband there. I love it.

I tried one at my Bridal Salon and LOVE IT. Now the challenge to find it cheaper has begun!

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I had one custom made (which I am giving away!) that wasn;t made in time (don't ask) so two days before my wedding I found the perfect headband (which was surprising). I went with what I liked in my hair the way I wanted it, and one that would add to my hair without taking away from the dress. I didn't wear a veil, but put little sparkle clips in the back of my hair for extra drama :)

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I chose my hair style first and then chose hair pieces that worked with the style. I chose a loose, curly side ponytail and had a comb with a pearl and rhinestone floral spray to tuck into the side.
ETA: I also purchased from Barron's. I went there on a normal day (didn't have my hair trial that day), but I did tie my hair back somewhat like I planned to wear it and tried it on there.

Re: How did you pick your headpiece?
I picked out my veil a year ago. I found it online and just fell in love with the look. I'm also going wear a chapel veil with it.
i figured out how i wanted to wear my hair first, then i went to barrons and tried on a few headpieces in that style and what matched my dress and jewelry.
