I called my future MIL by her first name and somebody told me that I should call her MOM.
However, it just doesn't feel right.
It makes me uncomfortable to call her 'Mom' She's going to be a wonderful and loved mother in law, but she is NOT my mother.
Forgetting what you call them now.....when you are married do you think you will address your in laws as Mom and/or Dad, OR by first name?

I call my FMIL by her first name...Aura. However, I do call my FFIL Popi. I'm not sure I will ever call her mom, but I will definately call still call my FFIL Popi.

I call her Ms. G. but my Fh calls my mom and dad mom and dad. When we got engaged they asked him to and originally he said he wasn't but he does. When his mother tells me to call her mom, I will!

Right now I call the Mr/Mrs but after we get married I will call them by their first name. I don't feel comfortable calling anyone else Mom and Dad other than my parents.

At this point I dont call them anything. Ive never been in a position where I would have to say their names...but once FH and I get married I will prob. call them mom and dad, tho it will take a while getting used to. FMIL calls her MIL mom, so i think she wouldnt mind if I called her mom, besides I call my mom Mommy and my daddy Papi, not mom and dad..so it wouldnt feel too weird

FH calls my parents mom and dad. My mom asked him to and she cried when she asked. It was cute. His mother gave me some weird explanation about how she wants us to be friends and her being called mom would make her feel old (mind you her kids call her mom, but whatever). So I will call them by their first names.

Well.I have this bad habbit of feeling awkward with certain people (not just his family) But I Do Not Call them ANYTHING!!! I wait until they look at me and then I start talking about whatever it is.... If it is a rare timeI need to call them and they answer the phone the 1st thing I say is 'Hi It's Dina' So I don't have to say Hi Mr Abc or Hi BOB.LOL

I call FMIL by her name... but FFIL has same name as FH so it's wierd to call them both the same name... so I don't address him really by a name, we just talk. But otherwise I think I would just say his name. FH's family is very warm and loving so I feel comfortable with that... but I do call his grandparents grandma and grandpa!

If I have to address them, I call them by their first names. I only had 1set of parents and I lost them both 19 years ago. There's no one else I could ever call Mom and Dad. I think this would still be the case with them even if my parents were alive.

I call FMIL by her first name. To me, I have a wonderful women in my life who i call mom. I feel that that is her honor, and I would not feel comfortable calling FMIL mom. I do love my FMIL, and she will be a gret MIL and Grandma.
I know everyone is different, my friend call her MIL Mom, but she has such a beautuful relationship with her!!! so it fits!

Unfortunately, I dont call my FMIL anything, as she is incapacitated and has been for years. I call FFIL 'Papi' which doesnt bother me because i feel it is different than calling him Dad since i dont call my dad 'Papi' I dont know if that makes any sense
I am not sure what my FH will call my parents - Good question

I call them by their first names. When I was first introduced to FH's parents, they said, 'Hi, I'm Joanne' etc... So from day 1 I called them by their first names. No big deal to them.. FH call my parents by their first names too! It never occured to me any other way.
