How do you feel about wedding planning?

I was bored for a stretch b/c we booked almost everything right away and now it's time for planning to pick up...

It's fun and exciting again. Everything in moderation, you know? For me - planning has provided an escape from drama at home, drama at work and other non-pleasantries.

How about you? Sick and tired of satin and lace or enjoying it?

I, along with most girls on here, have not lost sight of what this is all about. i.e. Marriage. If I enjoyed doing my homework does it mean I lost sight of what getting an education was all about?

I am bored of wedding planning. Always was. I am not much of a planner for anything!

I enjoy planning, but in moderation. Being home all the time now, my mother comes home at 115 and is like you should do this and how about this and we didnt talk about this and this needs to get done and why arent you doing this and then I am sitting there going

I really think I have done a pretty good job pacing myself and dont have much left to do. Besides picking a cake (im indesive) and getting a topper, unity candle, building a card box and ordering favors, im waiting for rsvps to come in to do seating!

Im a-ok - when moms on my tail i freak and we all know how that goes

Overall. i am going to miss it when its over!

I have so much going on at once, so I feel overwhelmed all the time. I know what all this is for and that is what makes me so nervous. I feel like everything is going to come crashing down on my head.

I ALSO had lost interest a while ago. But for the past few months i got back into it and enjoying it again. Definitely can be hectic but trying to have fun with it and enjoy it, and focus on the good parts

so true! All major venders were booked a year and a half before the wedding so i was like ok now i can sit back and screw it...whatever....this past summer i was sitting there starting to and then lost interest again and it picked up around thanksgiving.

Its one thing giving advice on here, and another for me to do it for myself!

I wasn't having any fun because people were telling us how to do it all, and where to have it and blah blah blah.. But then I figured, we're paying for it on our own. So no one has a say in anything, unless it's myself or FH.

It's our wedding, we want to do it our way.


But now, I'm totally having fun now because it's the 5 1/2 months left, and it's all the little nicknacks that we get to do now!! Favors..invites..flowers..limos..tux/suits.. The other stuff stressed me out...

same for me, everything has been a LONG and DRAWN out process since we are paying for it.

We have had our RH booked for 1 1/2 years. The florist has been booked for a year. We spread everything out about 4 months at a time to save, save, SAVE and spend, spend, spend

I honest to goodness have no idea where, or how we get the money or how we can manage anything. I really don't.

I love the planning, especially since my FH is so into it it's cute! It can be stressful times trying to coordinate family issues , BM issues, other weddings that I am a BM in around mine ect, but overall I love the process and I enjoy doing these things with FH

Im sure when it gets closer to my date, i will feel like this

'09er crashing...sorry!! I have to say, I have a lot booked so far so fast and it's a little sad to be at a little bit of a lull right now. I wish i could be a wedding planner, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get bored!! I love helping all my girlfriends with their weddings too! I've actually considered getting into wedding planning!!

That was one thing I wasn't having was people telling me what to do. They weren't paying for it, so they really have no say. Sure people always say 'Oh, you should do this and that!' but I just let it go in one ear and out the other.

For the most part I like it! I felt a little rushed in the beginning because we have a 15 month engagement and wanted a particular date because my law school schedule does not leave much flexibility. I felt like we were under a lot of pressure to book the vendors we wanted before they booked, although luckily everyone we had wanted was available.

It's hard though because I'm planning from OOT so there are a lot of things I can only do when I am in NY.

I want to do my DIY favors and menus and stuff like that now, but I need to order the materials and they wont be in until after I go back. I'm looking fwd to it though!

I'm indecisive though, so that has added a little stress to things.
