I was bored for a stretch b/c we booked almost everything right away and now it's time for planning to pick up...
It's fun and exciting again. Everything in moderation, you know? For me - planning has provided an escape from drama at home, drama at work and other non-pleasantries.
How about you? Sick and tired of satin and lace or enjoying it?
****disclaimer**** I, along with most girls on here, have not lost sight of what this is all about. i.e. Marriage. If I enjoyed doing my homework does it mean I lost sight of what getting an education was all about?

Re: How do you feel about wedding planning?
I enjoyed planning other people's weddings but when spending my own money it is another story.
I know I will miss it when its over but if we could have had a shorter engagment it would have made it better.
I am completely impatient and since my job only allows little windows of opportunity to actually meet with vendors and shop I am either doing nothing at all or cramming it all in. If I could take a week off from work I could have just about everything finished!

I honest to goodness have no idea where, or how we get the money or how we can manage anything. I really don't.
We have so much paid off already and it hasn't even been a year. I just keep thinking how much we saved so far and

Re: How do you feel about wedding planning?
It depends on the day and what it is I am trying to 'plan'. I loved deciding on the big things, but now the little things are drving me a bit crazy . But like many of the girls said, we have to try and enjoy this time and so that is what I am trying to do!

I enjoy it for the most part..there are non-enjoyable aspects to wedding planning, but it's fun in the long run.

I know what you girls mean when you say everyone is telling what to do and how to do it.
I learned pretty early on to not share any details with anyone - not even mom sometimes. She was the worst.
Now like someone else said - it's the little things that are fun - programs, favors, invites, BP gifts. It's all about the little things.

Re: How do you feel about wedding planning?
i hated it - i am so happy it is over. there was nothing like that feeling when i got in the limo after the ceremony. . . i turned to my new husband and said 'i am never effing planning another effing thing again'
it brought about sadness, crushing anxiety and disappointment.
my wedding day was the best day of my life and my marriage has been surreal. I wish i could get the past two years of my life back.
ETA: i am doing my thank yous over the next two weeks - i cannot wiat for the moment when i am done with EVERYTHING TYs are done, and i have my albums and videos. . .and i get to sit there and watch TV and actually watch TV instead of think about what i SHOULD be doing or planning the next thing to do or lay in bed and just fall asleep without trying to plan out hte next three days!!

i am actually the opposite, i now want to help others plan theirs and go so happy that fh's best friend just got engaged and i was telling him about halls and giving him ideas lol.
I was even telling fh that i have the best idea for a childs 1st birthday party and when i started telling him about it, he said 'YOURE CRAZY' were having people over, bbq and cake THATS IT'
i am seriously thinking about getting into event planning, its something i was extremely interested in even before the wedding.

Re: How do you feel about wedding planning?
I had a love/hate relationship with my planning process.
At first it was really awesome and I was really enjoying trying out color schemes, looking at flowers and especially dress shopping.
Next came the phase where I hadn't booked everything and it was getting down to the wire sooooo I started to get stressed, but I still enjoyed it to some extent when I wasn't thinking about the pressing things I had to do.
Then came absolute hatred and I really just wanted to hire someone to finish everything I had started, but I didn't because I was one broke b!tch, so I stressed the sh!t out of myself for the last six weeks (especially in the last two when i did ALL of my DIY's). I got irrationally stressed where I was thinking ridiculous things like 'omg no on will dance' or 'no one will show up' or 'i'm doing all this for nothing'
.....once my wedding day came, I couldn't mentally handle caring anymore so I just let everything go and everything came together seemingly, all by itself and it became clear to me that it was all worth it...all the stress, all the stupid drama...every second was made up for and now I just look upon my planning time as funny, a lil'stressful but all and all fun.

I'm enjoying it, taking my time on some items and booking others. I feel like I'm going at a great pace. It does get a little boring sometimes, but overall so far it's been a good process for me.

Re: How do you feel about wedding planning?
I think I'll have to work on planning someone else's wedding after this, because I am not going to know what to do with myself.... I guess you can call my wedding planning an unusual one. Everything is falling into place without much hassle. I am really enjoying it and have always enjoyed putting parties and events together in my personal life....I do some of it here at work too. I guess you could say I've always enjoyed it.
