How do you figure out how far along you are?

Do you start from the first day of your last AF and start counting that as day 1, week 1?

Yes, exactly. And you calculate your due date by subtrating three months from the month of your LMP and adding seven days to the first day of your LMP. So if LMP is 10/1, your due date is July 8, 2004.

Thanks. I was calculating it starting from a week after my AF as week one which is what Fertility Friend had me as. I just bought a pregnancy calendar and it has me starting to count as of one day after last AF as day one. This makes me a little further along than I thought.

I am still unsure because when I go online to different websites, it gives me different answers.
How do you calculate what week you are in?

The way the doctor does it - is calculating the first day of your last period. You actually got PREGNANT probably around 12 -14 days after that date, but they count you from the beginning of the cycle in which you got pregnant. This is the most common method you'll find. I have a journal though that I write in called The Pregnancy Journal, and they have me started at around the actual day I got pregnant. So that puts me as two weeks less 'pregnant' than what the doctor would say. I go by the doctor, and most of the websites I am involved with that give me weekly updates are on schedule with the doctor as well. So I am in my 24tth week right now (started last Friday) - but my journal would say 22 I think.

A really great thing to do - next time you are at the doctor. Ask the nurse to make a photocopy of your wheel. They'll set it to your due date, and make a copy of it so you can follow along.

So did you start day one of week one by the first day of your last AF? Every website and calendar is different although they all give me the same EDD.
I am not sure if I am in beginning of my twelvth week or at the end.

My last period started on April 17th (I think...it's all so long ago now!) I count that as DAY ONE.

Thanks. That means that I am at the end of my twelvth week.
Do you find that the edd websites then also have your weeks a little off too?

Well it's because there aren't the same amount of weeks in all months. So even if you go by the doctor's method, it doesn't mean that every Friday say is the end of a week - or every Tuesday or whatever you calculated. They get to be a day or two off here and there. You should definitely ask for the wheel - it's a LOT easier to understand with that.

For me it was easy to figure out cause my date goes by the date I got insemintad...
We know the day we concieved.
hehe
;-)
I like to go by the doctors number of weeks as aposed to online becuase all the tests and the due date and all that stuff reflects on his wheel.
I always thought it was the day of your last AF + 7 days and then - 3 months
