i was watching 'who's wedding is it anyway' and one of the couples renegotiated a contract. is that even possible?

yea, it's kinda hard in some RH's to WHEEL AND DEAL...

I feel like RH's will do anything BUT lower their prices! The Swan Club is phenomenal, and they know my brother (who's a DJ there). They are throwing in all sorts of extras b/c of him, which is great, but of course we'd prob have preferred if they just said, 'Oh well we'll take $5 off the price per person,' or something LOL! Not gonna happen!

I have heard of negotiating before you sign a contract, but not renegotiating after you sign it.

I just got them to drop the minimum people from 150 to 100 That was good enough for me

I think there was a couple on this board who came in way below the minimum, and they renegotiated the contract to have some extras instead of being penalized for the shortfall.
If there were a compelling reason, maybe the hall would rearrange your contract to include services. It would probably be less incented to actually lower the price on an already executed contract.

By paying cash, we were able to eliminate sales tax which added up to about $3500!

Some places will drop the price per pp. Also if you agree to pay cash they can elimiante sales tax. Negotiate with the food...less food for less money (sometimes all the food they offer is not needed)

I got them to drop 5 bucks a head...i just pretended that I got a better deal elsewhere and that i was leaving to go sign with them...apparently they wanted my business! lol

You can def negotiate. If you are flexible with your date or book 6 months prior to your day....Most places will work with you.

I tried to get Chair covers thrown in at the Fox hollow, but their response is that it isnt written in teh contract and that negotiations shoudl have happened before i signed.. so if they arent willing to throw in chair covers i doubt they are gogn to lower the price.. But you have nothing to lose by asking

i know lots of RHs that will negotiate the price.....lol just gotta ask them i negotiated i am very happy!

if u already signed ur contract it's highly doubtful but hey - it's worth a try..the worst they can say is no right?
