So for some sill reason I was talking about this with FH last night...sleeping in the bed preference. When laying down on your back....is FH to your left or right? With me its a total obsession...not only in bed...I sleep to his right...I have to sit to his right...I have to be on his right....its weird...
Like if we are at a movie theater and there is no one sitting on either side of us..he has to be at my left...but if there are people next to us it doesnt matter...weird right? lol
Just curious to see how everyone else picks the side of the bed...
For me..FH is on my left...ALWAYS! Unless walking on th sidewalk and the street is to the right...he thinks its proper for the man to walk on the street side...like if an out of control mac truck comes...his 220 lb body will protect me

We have designated spots everywhere! If we are somewhere sitting next to eachother i'm on his left b/c i'm a lefty and we knock elbows the other way. In our bed I'm also on his left and on the couch i 'm on the left. lol.I also sleep on my left side 90% of the time. I have hearing loss in my right ear and all these years i was so upset about it and now it helps me tune out his snoring. hahahaha

It varies...we don't live together. I'm really looking forward to choosing a side of the bed after the wedding!!!

Whenever we do share the bed fh HAS to sleep at my right side. It is so unnatural for it to be the other way! Unfortunately fh has the worst snoring problem ever (only in the winter for some reason) so we sleep seperately on really cold nights. He needs to hurry up and get to a doctor!

so werid you brought this up...i have an obsession with this!!! i feel like there is a scientifical reasoning as to why men sleep on a specific side of the bed....
everyone in my family (and approx 99% of ppl i asked) have said that when laying on your back, the men sleep on the right....LIW has proven my theory incorrect

I have to be on the left, and FH has to be on the right, otherwise it just won't work! It turns out that I can't fall asleep unless I'm on my side facing left, and him on his side facing right, so we end up butt to butt lol. He thinks I'm weird because it's opposite of being on drivers side/passenger side, but it cant be any other way!
ETA: this is on our makeshift comforter and chair pad bed on basement floor
