I know this has been posted before but I searched but cannot find the thread
So yet again, how do you wear these type of boots?
They are cute, but before I bother buying them I have to figure out a practical way to wear them (I am looking at one of the cheapie knockoffs you see everywhere, not the expensive Ugg-type ones)
I am not exactly a young chickie so I kinda think they'll look stupid on me. And I know I cannot pull off the boot with skirt look ..
So to all the stylish, fashion experts on the boards - help!

I thought Uggs were OUT this year and muckalucks (sp????) were all the rage?
ETA: I just read in US or something that JHO was wearing a pink pair when she was shopping at the C&B in Manhasset and the help laughed at her when she left for wearing 'last years fashion'

I switch it up and I see people wear them all types of ways here in the city.
I sometimes wear them under my pants, and othertimes I pull them over my pants. Though I do feel most warm and comfortable with them under my pants...

I'm so backwards, I bought $90 muckblahblahs last year when no one was wearing them. By the end of the season, they were $29 at Macy's (Steve Madden boots)
And now they are in!!!
And to be honest, I bought them last year because they were comfy not because of how they looked.

Oh heavens, not LAST YEAR's FASHION!!
I know the Uggs themselves are out, and those other hard to pronounce ones are in.. I just see the knockoffs everywhere and they look so comfy. And I'm all about comfort (no stylish fashion girl here) But yet I don't want to look like a dork either, with kids pointing and screamnig 'look at that old hag trying to act young'

Yeah on saturday as 2 girls walk passed with the furry boots a guy comments how he hates them. But then when the Mirage dancers in their white bikini top, fur wrap and white furry boots, he all of a sudden liked the 'furry boots.'
Oh Jen -- isn't that SUCH a typicall 'man' comment

Actually both boots are 'IN' right now.. The fur ones are more popular IMO cause they are cuter.. But UGG's are still all the rage...I know this cause i had to go to 3 different stores who were out of them!!! They are flying out of the stores
And to answer your question...most people wear them with pants in.
ETA..and both are now worn with skirts...which seem to be VERY in now

i was gonna say that unless you plan on hiking in the snow capped mountains, i'd steer clear
